I wonder if this will make basketball more popular.

And they left out Paul Volcker, who is like 6-6. He played ball too.

Maybe it will help to have some people who can think on their feet, bet they could beat the Thunder

I like Obama, but basketball is like watching the time and temperature change at the bank.

A charity basketball game vs current and former NBA and WNBA stars would be fantastic, as an addendum to NBA All Star weekend, or jump start the President's physical fitness initiative.

I'm not sure why, but your post seems lame and pointless.

Well, this might be the tallest cabinet in history. Except for Rahm.

See? That IS change...not important change but at least some change...I guess we'll have to be happy with it.

Well good (breathing sigh of relief).

Perhaps they can settle differences with other countries by playing hoops with THEIR cabinet members and we can stop this pesky war stuff.

Imagine how much they'd get for tickets, televising on a pay per view and endorsements! We could maybe turn this economy right around.

I can see it now...with sponsors like KBR, Goldman Sachs, Blackwater, Raytheon, Boeing.....the sky is the limit.

You know....it's not so insane. Imagine what sales would be if they do a ' We Are The (Free Leaders) In The World ' CD.

Absolutely, and I know Paul Volker isn't in his cabinet per se, but I'll bet he can still dunk. LOL

I love hearing about the fun things, like this. We hear so much gloom and doom and arguing and negative stuff in the news. It's time the media starts reporting some good things. There are good things to report.

Amen ... some of these lighthearted stories are good to balance the negative stuff. Have you notice how many of these TV anchor people have these solemn voice: breaking-news-from-cnn. I-am-mr.-robot ...

If enough of the personal stuff already, lets focus on the remaining days of the Bush Administration and expose is last minute dealing.

Good God, lighten up! We all need a break every once in a while and this is a good human interest story.

If you don't like, CLICK the mouse and move on...

Christ, what a miserable, humorless human being.

I agree. IMO HuffPo should move these kind of articles in the Entertaining section. I'm not an expert in internet based newspapers, but I think a little more seriousness on the Politics and Business pages would lift the credibility of the newspaper. However, a more relaxed reporting might be more effective for this media... who knows? Overall, it's not a big deal for the reader I suppose...

I think we need both. What I do not tolerate are media-generated stories like pressing O to release the result of the non-connection between his staff and Blago. It is one thing to report the news, but to speculate and fish for news is a shame

Yes, made up news! I abhor it, but some of it sure has legs and is repeated often enough that some people start to believe it. The media is reckless.

the real danger with this sort of news is that it will replace the vital with the trivial

what about jen ? and jen and brad? and jen and angelina? and jen and brangelina?

why is paris suddenly so silent?

how are marc and jen coping with the twins?

enquiring minds want to know!
