Jerry Seinfeld: I Hate Kids' Birthday Parties (VIDEO)

Jerry Seinfeld tried out some new standup on "The Late Show" Friday night before sitting next to David Letterman and delivering a few more humorous rants from a seated position.

After his standup routine that had a large focus on cookies, the father-of-three sat down and told Letterman about kids birthday parties.

"I go to all of them. I hate every single one of them... Do you find other people's kids never look quite right?"

He especially hates pinatas and bouncy castles, on which his daughter apparently broke an arm, and he told Dave exactly why.

Used to be a fan of his and thought he was funny. Now he is just a pompous, arrogant and unfunny man. He seems to have changed after he got married. Must be his wife, the one who stole the kids recipe book or whatever it was that he made such an a++ of himself on so many tv shows.

I'm glad that Jerry Seinfeld said this about loathing kids birthday parties; because I'm a Mom, who also can't stand these obligatory events (lol)! They seem to be the kind of thing that's fun for the kids; but incredibly boring, costly, & pretty artificial for the parents. I've been to a few where the kids have come home sopping wet from water fights ~ or filthy from food fights ~ & I sigh & begin cleaning up their clothes, wondering why the birthday party hosts don't just ask the children to come to, say, a museum or a nice safe park ... where parents can sit outdoors in the sun waiting or even reading a book ... or possibly also enjoying the Dinosaur or Mummy exhibits, etc.

What's the deal with kids? They're having these birthday parties, it seems like at least every year or so. What's the deal?

Then, they look small. Like regular people, only smaller and with bigger heads. What's the deal?

And what's the deal with these pinata things? I have a good idea- get a pinata with cake inside. That would be different.

i engaged in a comedy of errors to obtain a ticket to Seinfeld 4 yrs ago.

When I finally got to his show, it was amazing. I was out of breath when i got there, and out of breath when I left.

When he approaches a stage, its magic. He's a superstar. What're ya gonna do? He's Jerry! Loved the cereal jokes. I have way too many cereal boxes full of who knows what.
