I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Arnold Schwarzenegger

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger tells "60 Minutes" correspondent Scott Pelley that he would "absolutely" like to be U.S. president if the Constitution could be changed to allow foreign-born Americans to run for the White House.

"Well, you're a man of no small ambition. If the Constitution was changed, you'd like to be president, wouldn't you?" Pelley asked.

"Yeah, absolutely," Schwarzenegger acknowledged. "I think that I am always a person that looks for the next big goal. And I love challenges. I always set goals that are so high, that are almost impossible to achieve. Because then, you're always hungry for climbing and climbing. Because it's always interesting. The climb is always interesting. When you get there you just have to pick another goal."

Schwarzenegger also reveals one of his classic weight-lifting tricks: put smaller weights on for the camera and use wooden plates to make it seem as if you're lifting more:

"I mean, when you do it for the cameras you do only 50, so you take it easy. You don't kill yourself," Schwarzenegger replied, laughing.

Asked if that's the trick, Schwarzenegger said, "Oh yeah. Absolutely. I remember when I did this scene in 'Stay Hungry' at the squats with Sally Fields watching there. And I had to do it over and over again. And I had 225 pounds on it, as I learned very quickly, put on wooden plates."

I don't know whether to laugh at the fools in CA who elected this a.ss, or to laugh at the a.ss himself. It would serve well to remember that if you vote republican you have no right to complain when thing go rear-end up, as any 3rd grader would know that that is what most likely will happen. Y'all voted for armageddon and here it is, now suck it up and deal with it.

I didn't vote for him, but I still suffer from his policies.

Ignorant voters vote for celebrities in every state. California isn't the only example of that, just look at Minnesota and New York. Until the electorate wisens up and realizes that just because you are a celebrity doesn't mean that you can govern, we will continue to have these unqualified stars as our leaders.

Yup. Sadly, our fellow Americans are hopelessly shallow, and celebrity-worshiping is now at plague levels. What will it take to make people stop and think about the possible consequences of their inattentiveness and nonchalance? Voting again and again for people who couldn't care two shillings about you is a fool's game indeed.

Okay, Arrrrnold, the Killa from Wasilla, Huck (aberry Finn),Sh*t Romney & Baby Brother Bush. The election of 2012 might be more entertaining than this year's.

He isn't qualified because he has been a nightmare for the state of California. He hasn't made good on one campaign promise and is a total failure as a bi-partisan leader.

Isn't this a moot point? Unlike Obama, Arnold was NOT born in the US, and neither of his parents were citizens. Republicans basically shot themselves in the foot by trying to claim our PE was not a citizen. How then do they turn and say now it's ok?

The "Obama and McCain aren't natural-born citizen" talk was really a double-gambit by the Elect-Schwarzzenegger POTUS conspiracy. They wanted to get partisans on both sides on record as saying that that clause wasn't important. Everyone who's ever made noise about altering this part of the constitution has been secretly wishing for Arnold as commander-in-chief.

I wish I were joking.

Did we forget to take our meds again this morning?

Last time I checked H. was part of the US. You, however, may not be living on planet earth!

Sure thing Arnie! After your great job you've done in California you can bet the voters will trust you with the budget for the whole country.

Oh no. Here we go with all the Repugs wanting to change it so Arnold can run. California is worse off because of him.

What's with the spate of delusional governors lately? Blago can't see that he's done; Ahnold can't see that, even were he Constitutionally qualified to be president, his entirely inept governorship would prevent him from getting anywhere.

Ummm, there is a precendent of an inept governor becoming an even more inept president--just look at who's occupying the White House right now. Arnold evokes lots of Repub heroes with his incompetence (Bush) his acting "skills" (Reagan) and his gleefully tossed insults (Cheney, et al). Thank goodness he was born in Austria and cannot run.

That is the truth. That is why all of this talk about Arnold being President scares me. What if they do change the Constitution? Can Arnold really get elected knowing what a terrible job he did in CA? What about the fact that his father was a Nazi sympathizer? I do think the voters would elect him, and it totally frightens me.

Arnold--
The chinese would crush you if we open it up world-wide.
When we auciton off the presidency in the world market you don't stand a chance-- they like pathetic stooges who won't get any ideas of their own and look real goofy and act real goofy, but are good at dodging thrown shoes and beer bottles from their Texas Air National Guard days.
No governator, people may catch on to what a catastrophe it would be to openly sell the job to the Chinese.
