The FBI has engaged in "triage," taking agents off terror and other crimes to respond to a cascade of financial frauds such as the alleged Bernard Madoff Ponzi scheme, the head of the bureau's New York criminal division said.

Earlier investors gains were paid out through receipts of later investors. Keep repeating until it gets too big and topples.

Madoff is the poorest man I've seen in my lifetime. A man who betrayed his country, his clients, our democracy, the very definition of ethics and most importantly, his own family. His own family, you can get no poorer than that.

I say in the last five years, Bernie Made-off has done more damage to America than Osama Bin Ladin. Bernie is an American Terrorist. The FBI agents are being reassigned to the right case.

That is a SIN and, in addition to the other charges I hope are in store for him, he should be charged with wasting police resources (or whatever the equivalent, for federal personnel) and treason.
