Keith Olbermann ran down a list of his favorite people of 2008 Monday night on "Countdown."

"When looking back at this historic year, it became clear we could not pick our favorite things this go-around," Olbermann said. "There was only one thing in 2008, it seemed: the never-ending, always-entertaining race to replace President Bush. So given the prism of the historic election, we'll remember this year by highlighting our favorite candidates and characters of Decision 2008."

Instead of focusing only on Grant Park, I wish he had shown reactions from all over the country (and possibly the world). I live in NYC and just happened to be walking through Times Square when the final election results were being tallied up. It was one of the most beautiful experience I have had in NYC. People from all over the world spontaneously gathered to cheer Obama on.

Yes, Keith Olbermann did a fantastic job getting our man elected, but he's no longer relevant or topical and, frankly, too unstable for any more use. Keith is already shocked on how quickly and completely his access to BO has ended. KO' s code name inside the DNC was "wedge," as in "use the simple tools to get the message out". We all knew want Howard wanted-send talking points to KO and CM on MSNBC. Good job boyz..

Tetiana, Keith O is a single man. I thought he was married until he appeared on Martha Steward after the gen election.There is still hope for you two. The video KO did on Obama was great. KO never failed to represent all that's good about the Obama campaign. I still feel he should be Obamas press secretary.

I cried watching the Obama segment. I still can't believe it. I live in Ohio and I cannot believe that he won!! There are so many racists and pro-Bush people here. A lot of people I knew were against Obama or unsure but eventually they started to be for him. As my group of friends became more and more for him we talked about him more and more and spread the word. At our weekly get togethers we talked about it. A lot of my friends hadn't voted before and I actually have heard racist things from them... but we all busted our asses to make sure we voted, we gave rides, etc. We even had an "Obama party" at my apartment the Saturday after the election. This is exactly the meaning of "yes we can". I think it made a lot of my friends feel empowered that they did the impossible. A lot of people in my area (Cambridge, Ohio) are poor and don't have much education but they looked up what Obama was for and showed an incredible amount of interest in him. I believe they voted for him because they wanted him as our leader, not because of Bush. I had a few people over the night of the election to watch and have a few beers. For the rest of my life I will remember seeing that big blue Ohio on my tv. I will never forget that moment as long as I live.

I know! All the people in Ohio who didn't vote for Obama are racists. You are so lucky to be living in an area with those poor, uneducated people who finally decided to educate themselves and learn about Obama. This time next year they should all have degrees and be living in mansions.

LOL, I'm so tired of being told that if you didn't vote for Obama you must be racist. I voted third party, and I'm proud of my vote. I couldn't support the Republican candidate, I just have never agreed with that party, and would never vote that way. I couldn't vote for Obama with hs support of FISA and the Cheney Energy bill. I had several other voting issues with him, and so I went third party. Does that mean I don't get my mansion, I already have a degree, but a mansion would be nice.

That was one fun episode. I think the SNL vice presidential debate is one of the funniest skits in SNL history, wish he showed more of that.

And I loved Ben Afleck's over-the-top parody of K.O.

And Palin's gaffes are the gift that keep on giving.
