Bush Signs Law Protecting Retirement Benefits For Gay Couples

Yesterday, Bush signed into law the Worker, Retiree and Employer Recovery Act of 2008 (WRERA), requiring employers to allow employees to roll their retirement plans over to nonspouse partners. The Human Rights Campaign hailed the bill for allowing gay couples to share benefits.

Dear George Bush,
I'm very thankful that you did this. I know you want to make nice before you leave office. One suggestion, do not pardon anybody in your administration. If you don't pardon them justice will be done. We know you have been just a puppet and that should be your defense. I'm sure there are things they control you with. Let that be your defense. Let the rest rot.
