Think Progress:

Yesterday, Bush signed into law the Worker, Retiree and Employer Recovery Act of 2008 (WRERA), requiring employers to allow employees to roll their retirement plans over to nonspouse partners. The Human Rights Campaign hailed the bill for allowing gay couples to share benefits.

Dang it, now I can't hate every single decision he's made!

A step in the right direction. There are many more steps to take on the road to equality. It might seem endless and always uphill but it is a road worth traveling.

"he didn't know what he was signing, did he?"

That's what I think. There was probably a college-level word in the first sentence, and so Bushie quit reading.

What has Obama done against Gays?

Letting someone with a different opinion speak? Is that what you guys are talking about? He did not put Rick Warren in charge of a Human Rights commission, he is letting him speak, just like Rick let Obama speak at his church.

People, quit being so vindictive. I disagree with Rick Warren also, but I think I can listen to him without condemning Obama. Grow up people please. We have far worse problems on our hands in this country than watching someone with a different opinion speak.

I only hope that Obama picks someone that offends you one day. Maybe you're a Jew and he'll pick a holocaust denier. (No, that would be political suicide...) Or maybe you're black and he'll pick someone who thinks slavery was a good idea (No, that would be political suicide....) Or maybe...you get the point. Sad thing is that in 2008 it's NOT political suicide to let a homophobe speak on a national stage. Shame on you for not seeing past your own nose.

Warren does not fear being gay, or fear gays, he just does not agree with gay sex. That is not phobia. Why do gays use the phobia word, it seems to me that when a gay or gay sympathizer trys to insult a straight by calling the straight person gay or hohmophobe, they are really insulting homosexality. Many on this site have seem to try to slam straights by calling them gay because deep down they think that calling someone gay is an insult.

When Bush is better to gays than Obama, you know we're in trouble. "Meet the New Boss, the Same as the Old Boss..."

Gosh, has Bush really done something nice for gays? If so that's great, but given his track record I'm suspicious of his intentions or the exact wording of the law.

Wow, what a shock. One redeeming act for Bush. I bet his buddy James Dobson is not very happy.

Bush overturned Clinton's executive order for ergonomics in the workplace. It was a cost savings move.

Maybe Bush will do some more needed action to help Main Street rather than Wall Street.

Good, can we now get Bush to deliver the convocation at Obama's inauguration instead of Rick Warren?

Either there was a signing statement about having crossed his fingers while signing it or he had a visit from a couple of ghosts last night.....
