Paparazzi Scoop Political Press On Obama Vacation

For the second time in the first four days of Barack Obama's vacation, paparazzi have come away with more intimate pictures of the future president than the photographers who follow him day in and day out.

The photos, posted at the website of Just Jared Inc., capture Obama in a private moment on Tuesday as he scattered his grandmother's ashes off the coast of the Pacific.

I have had enough of this Enquirer/P­eople/Acce­ss Hollywood portrayal of Obama and his family. It's really getting to the nauseating point on the scale. I want to look at him as a substanative leader that is going to solve the enormous problems that exist for this country and find it diminishes his status to portray him this way. On top of that, I really don't find the guy to be all that visually attractive. I always found him attractive because of his intelligence, confidence, and well-spoken manner, but please, put him next to say Nich Lachey, and I think you'd understand we're getting a little carried away here in our portray of our impending prez.

When we stop acting like groupies, they will stop photographing. Still, I am very concerned at how exposed Obama is in these scenes. Anything a telephoto lens can see...

I find your first comment insulting. If he was a groupie women would be throwing themselves at him giving him their phone numbers etc. People just want to shake his hands meet him. I fail to see how that makes them groupies. This is kind of stuff that makes people believe that there is something wrong with them if they actually like their leaders. There is nothing wrong with it. You can either feel apathy fear or hate with your leaders and it seems to me that actually liking them is better than these other emotions.

We greet pictures of Obama and his family with gleeful cries of "awwwww" "the girls are sooooo cute", "he's hott" etc. Yeah, the paparazzi take the pictures because we can't get enough of them. check out the slide show comments.

Is that something to be admired? That they use huge telephoto lenses to invade the privacy of people? Perhaps the traditional press are being respectful to the PE. I personally think that the paparazzi are the scum of the earth and downright dangerous. While the Secret Service is trying to monitor all the paparazzi, they might just miss an assassin who was dressed and decked out as a paparazzi.
