"Revolutionary Road" opens today, and Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio loosely (for them, anyway) talked to Matt Lauer to push their first film together since "Titantic."

Introducing the segment, Lauer played a clip from "Titanic," and both actors say they haven't seen the film lately. Winslet said it's been "a very long time."

"It's almost surreal to watch," added Dicaprio.

Asked how they've changed since those days, Winslet said, "We have a lot more wrinkles, don't we darling?"

She then said to her costar, "Physically you aren't that different, you're just less puny."

Hit with the puny comment, Dicaprio said of her changes that Winslet is "still as beautiful and radiant as the day I met her."

Asked about their fame, both professed they wanted to be actors, not be famous.

Go see The Reader - it will stay with you long after you leave the movie theater.

Don't get me wrong there is chemistry there and that is a good thing. However, Leonardo Di Capro's l stands alone. You can't pool them together as great actors. He is a great actor, she is a good actor. Her best work was in Titanic. But she is 100% better than most actresses out there except for Emma and Cate.
Now he will always have a baby face, so he needs to shave off that silly beard.
She needs to go back to being a redhead with red lipstick; the blonde and mutted lipstick does nothing for her. She is a natural beauty as is Catherine Zeta Jones, she never went blonde, she always stayed with dark hair and that suits her, I wish Kate Winslett would do the same.

I love the way they have both taken risky but thoughtful chances in the role they have taken since Titanic.

Don't ask me why, I just know that Leo loved her red hair. So this is why he might want to look back.

I was lucky enough to see a screening of Revolutionary Road a few weeks ago and there was a Q&A session with Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kathy Bates, and a few other actors. They took questions for about 45 minutes, and both were very down-to-earth. While I didn't think this film was their best work, it was clear that the story meant a lot to both of them. Personally, I preferred Winslet's work in The Reader as it seemed more organic. In Revolutionary Road you can see both of them acting. It comes off more like a play, which was Sam Mendes' intention according to Kate.

Not the best film of the year but well worth seeing.

Those two are so cute together. I always thought that he looked too young for her in Titanic. He was such a string bean. I loved how she commented that he's not so scrawney anymore. They look great together in their new movie. Can't wait to see it.

These two are such terrific actors. Kate Winslett is terrific about just being herself. Honesty is everything and she plays it so well, & double wow to DiCaprio, I've been watching Leo DiCaprio grown up, he keeps getting better. This will be a tough call for Oscar.

Leather,

In some ways Leo went from "most impressive" to less impressive
back to, and perhaps surpassing, "most impressive"

I will for the moment ignore "Growing Pains" and earlier :) as the
name says it all.

However Basketball Diaries, This Boy's Life, What's Eating
Gilbert Grape, ...oh my Total Eclipse and the like...

Often very daring roles.

Cheers,

Paulie Sabol

I think his best performances were when he was younger, but now he mainly sticks with "safe" roles. It's a shame, really.

On the other hand, he's definitely maturing with his outlook. He grew up too fast and too wild when he was younger.

Whatever is true about them being friends offscreen, I don't think I've ever seen less onscreen "chemistry" than between these two. How emotionally challenged do you have to be to think they match up well together?

I respect both of these kids for the project choices they make as much as their work on the projects. They seem to be two of the more thoughtful actors, and that is worth something. I look forward to how their careers grow. As an aside, I am dismayed (I guess), by the hateful comments on this thread. Did I miss some major crime these two committed? I still think his role as Arnie Grape is what sold me.

He was brilliant as "Arnie". I fell in love with both Leo and Johnny.

The dialogue between the two stars of this film is as appalling banal as it gets. One question...has any woman in history ever told an unemployed loser that he was "the most interesting man she's ever known."?

Yikes, is she beautiful. And can act. DiCaprio just gets better and better with age. Smokin'!

Then we have the Cruise's and the Annistons who look great, but tend to infiltrate the media in lieu of honing their craft.

Very nice. I enjoy both of these actor's work and they seem like very pleasant people.
