Justin Eilers was found shot and killed on Christmas night -- the second MMA fighter to die in a week.
Eilers died of a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to KIVI TV in Idaho. James Malec, the suspect, is reportedly the boyfriend of Eilers' mom. Malec has been arrested and charged with second degree murder and held on $1 million bail.
According to Sherdog.com, Eilers had a career fighting record of 19-7-1 and went 1-3 in the UFC.

This fate is probably better than the would he would've faced had he lived the rest of his life as a tard after having his bashed in after a career in the UFC. I pity the poor simps still living.
Personally I think it's really stupid, BUT if two folks want to get into a ring and beat each other senseless, fine by me. If you like to watch it, I think your stupid, BUT then from your perspective , I may be stupid................................What a great country, we all can be free to be stupid.
Too bad the guy got shot. I don't know, but I would think more people die from guns than UF. Let the fellas beat on each other, but how about working on gun control.
Look if you don't like the sport. Thats fine, but don't go bashing the fighters for being untrained bar room brawlers. In reality they train just as hard as any other athelete.
Every single injury I've seen in the UFC I have seen in every other sport. Yesterday Roethlisberger had to get out of the game because of a concussion, Brady is out for a year do to a ACL tear, Boldin of the Arizona Cardinals got knocked out cold a couple of weeks back, and everybody knows about Theismans leg break. Don't forget about Steve Young retiring because of multiple concussions.
So lets ban Foootball.
The UFC is disgusting! What frightens me even more is the sheer enjoyment that people seem to have at the sight of blood and submission. This is stuff is disturbing on so many levels and the shocking part is that you see women there cheering as if it were a football game. The people that participate in this are really sick and so are the spectators. Why not become a legitimate boxer? Someone really needs to shut this down immediately. I turn the tv whenever the commercials come on it's frightening.

How are MMA spectators any different than boxing fans?
Are they cheering when the boxers clinch? NO, they cheer when they hit the other guy so hard he's knocked out.
How is boxing a legitimate and MMA isn't? Just because you may see more blood?
In MMA the fighter can tapout, or the ref will stop it after the fighter isn't defending himself.
In boxing, the ref will just give a standing 8 count and let the fighter continue...you think repeatedly getting hit in the head hundreds of times is good for them?
Lastly, there have been more deaths in boxing than in MMA in the last 15 years, so which is more "disgusting?"
I would avoid the name Justin, if it were me.

The word "Ultimate" needs to be toned down.
Someone please pull the plug on this ultimate fighting crap. This is not a sport. I cannot believe that we have regressed to this ugly, barbaric spectacle.
That "fight club" crap is a myth. No intelligent sane man likes to get beat up or beat up on others unless it's absolutely necessary.
So its just another means of getting people to fork over their monies. And these guys really are not kicking the cr.ap out of each other? Darn..say it ain't so!

Also, I would gather that most football players would probably say they get "beat up" pretty badly (and they do it WAY more often than an MMA Fighter)
This ultimate fighting crap is a direct descendant of, and very similar to, "pankration," one the original events of the ancient Olympics. It was a mix of boxing and wrestling (and was decried back then also: http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/Olympics/pankration.html). With so many more variables and styles involved with this form of combat, it's becomes a chess match of moves, strikes and holds. Boxing may be more hazardous by the way, as it inflicts more head trauma over a longer period of time than ultimate fighting crap. Let the debate begin.
It might have been a sport in ancient greece, but then again, those guys weren't boosted up on steroids and rage. This industry is a poorly regulated disgrace. I don't know what these guys make, but judging by the number of suicides and homicides, it's not enough.
Wrestling or other physical chess-type sports are great (which is why boxing endures despite head trauma) but getting mauled like you're in a dogfight (which is where boxing started from) is simply masochistic theater and even devalues the audience to the same primal subhuman standard. People should get off their own duffs and do the training themselves instead of living vicariously thru some chump with cauliflower ears and a crooked nose.
First of all, please educate yourself on MMA (it's Mixed Martial Arts not Ultimate Fighting).
Second, it is more of a sport than either boxing or wrestling as it combines both disciplines along with kickboxing and submission.
Third, the majority of MMA Fighters are college educated and are way more articulate than most pro sports athletes.
