MSNBC Anchor: I Wouldn't Find It "Funny" If Someone Called Me "Tamron Hall The Magic Negro Anchor Lady" (VIDEO)

Chip Saltsman stirred controversy when, in his campaign to be the next RNC chairman, he distributed copies of a song called "Barack the Magic Negro." The song originally aired on Rush Limbaugh's talk radio show. MSNBC's Tamron Hall weighed in on the controversy, saying she wouldn't find it funny if someone called her "Tamron Hall the Magic Negro Anchor Lady."

the point that most of the rethugs don't seem to understand is that the term "ne gro" is about 40 years out of date. even without listening to the whole song, just seeing/hearing the title is offensive for black people. in my 27 years as a black person, I've never once been called a ne gro to my face and i've never known any black person who wouldn't find it offensive. i thought it was pretty widely known that in 2008 you have 2 options for referring to people with african ancestry. african american or black. that's pretty much it. anything else, especially anything that starts with an "n" and has at least one "g" in the middle is off limits unless you're looking to start a fight. take heed repubs...

I wrote this before. Republicans, as a collective, have the worst sense of humor. In order for something to be a parody there has to be an aspect of irony, or even mild humor. The gop has none of this. I don't think they are stupid, they just rely on a lame personality to carry thier message. I listened to the song in question and later learned that voice was supposedly mocking al sharpton. the voice sounded nothing like al sharpton, it sounded like an uneducated guy singing incoherently. The republik party needs to get a clue.

The best part is when Obeshain gets angry. She's really convincing like that. So if you didn't understand that it was a parody, or you don't understand how parody works, just let a representative of the so-called parody yell at you a bit, and you should get it. If you don't get it by then, it just proves why you deserved to be yelled at.
