Alec has always had a crush on Salma, so this was bound to happen. I'll watch it.

Forgot to say Salma Hayek has been the most beautiful woman in Hollywood for the last ten years.

How is this show still on air? Oh wait NBC thinks it can get out of the 4th space as far as this show is concerned by throwing multitude of celebrities, yet magically this show still hasn't been higher then 3rd spot head to head with its competitors....

I just recently started watching this show from downloads off line... I think it is currently, the funniest & most intelligent show on television. Sure, guest stars have always been a cheap way to get ratings, but I will watch it regardless of any guest star. I think it is doing poorly in the ratings simply because it is an intelligent show, current in politics... most people would rather watch "celebrities" in rehab or America's next top model get crowned... says more about the people watching TV than anything else, IMO.

This show is so much less funny and creative when they have guest stars. Perhaps this will be different with a multi-episode character, but the show is best when it sticks to what it has proven it's good at: stories involving the regular characters.

To my mind (and I know not only will no one here agree with me), every episode of this series--and several others I could name--is at its weakest with the 'hot girl to tempt main male character' shows. It's so formulaic and so...well, Network Tv.

Well, Tina writes the show. She's young, loves to work and writes about the work ethic as much as she naturally knows - which is very clear to me, I don't know about you.... , and she does a pretty good job for her age. She's a Sweet Charity type of character that doesn't know she can write anywhere she wants for anyone, and yet as many shows that need a fresh story would welcome her input. Her story telling is her genius IMO. I look forward to watching her career grow as not only an executive but maybe someone one day who might always be there to smoothe the rough surfaces of lifes ups and downs, and to mend this with humor and witt. She will teach sokeday dance I predict, and then she might end up on Broadway or starring in Cabaret in yet another remake... She's almost a puppet on Alec's Knee. I love her though, but she is a tough nut to crack. I think once you get through the surface, she is as real as they get.

I wish she would take off the ruffles and get more serious, or darker for an edge of insanity in an often times corney sitcom. Making us questions the characters limits, I think will grab the same audience, and make the viewership stronger. Like, writer's having REAL writers' block and no show, before the show...WHAT DO THEY DO?...Or, real shockers, someone in the show, gets hurt. How do they handle it, there are very funny moments in how people handle stress at our darkest times. I hope Tina goes on to do film, she has a great sense of humor, and I think if she shows the quandry of humanity in a funny way she can do movies; like James L. Brooks, "As Good as.it Gets" or Nancy Meyers, "Somethings Gotta Give".

Seriously can't a show like 30 Rock cast a Latina in a less stereotypical role? especially someone of SH's stature.(ok nurse is one step up from maid but she is still "the help")

Was Jennifer Aniston's role as a sex-crazed dumb blond a stereotype that offended you?
Was Steve Martin's role as a conman offensive to shallow, self-serving wall street grifters
Is Tracy Morgan's role not a stereotype?
Alec Baldwin's role is a stereotype of a greedy egocentric executive. Liz Lemon is a stereotype. Kenneth the page is a stereotype. etc, etc,
it is a comedy show where EVERY role is a caricature. It is essentially a cartoon using real actors.
Stop looking for reasons to be offended.

Do you watch the show? EVERYONE is a stereotype!
Alec Baldwin's character, the successful white guy is a big ol' Republican.
They have 2 blonde airheads.
They have a country guy who is naive as all get out.
Tracy Jordan is the popular black guy who wears big gold bling and has 2 huge black guys in his entourage (those 2 guys, Griz and Dot-Com are the only ones who buck the stereotypes - they are very calm, big guys who are a little preppy!).

"30 Rock" is the only show I watch on network television. It's always LOL funny. It's smart, too. Which is why I suspect it doesn't have the viewing audience that it should.

If you haven't seen it, try it for a while.
