Some Women Threaten No Sex If Men Shoot Fireworks

ROME — Some women in Naples said they won't make love if their men shoot off dangerous fireworks on New Year's Eve. "Se Spari, Niente Sesso" (If you shoot, no sex), as the reported group calls itself, claims to have signed up hundreds of women in the Naples area to combat celebrations that injure or maim hundreds each year.

Carolina Staiano, a mother of two, was quoted in La Stampa daily on Wednesday as saying she was inspired to create the group because her father was partially paralyzed in a fireworks accident.

Setting off fireworks, often homemade or illegally imported, remains popular in Italy and especially in Naples, even though accidents are frequent and sometimes deadly.

Staiano said that "there are other ways to celebrate." And if men don't get the message, women should "send them to sleep on the couch."

I think the Italians need to worry about their economy and pollution problems. Most of these guys will already be passed out or too drunk to perform anyway.

2) What is it with women STILL thinking that they control their houses? I'm referencing the "send him to the couch, ladies" bit. I would wager that in about 90% of households where a couple is living together, the guy is either on the deed jointly or owns it outright. I swear to god, if my lady ever tried to "kick me to the couch" I'm not sure I'd be able to stop laughing. The house is mine. The bed is mine. Heck, the couch is mine. You see it in movies and occasionally hear women talking about it--ranging from "he slept in the guest room" to the extreme "I threw him out of the house" or "we split up, he's staying at a motel". I just wanna know who the spineless guys they're with who go along with that nonsense are. If it ever came time to split or for one of us to leave the abode, I can guarantee you I'd not be the one sleeping at the local motel.

I go along with it. Usually because, by the time the argument has reached the point where my wife is telling me to sleep on the couch, I'm equally angry at her and would rather sleep on the couch than sit there and argue. That only happens once every few years, but when it does, I just meander on out there and watch tv. Better than fighting all night.

Plus...there is usually some pretty good make-up sex the next morning after we've both cooled off.

If you have ever witnessed New years eve in Naples, you understand why Italian women are threatening to use their "power". We used to buy buy home made fireworks and looking back one cannot imagine how people avoided being maimed. Italian women overrated? Louis de Bernier rated them superior to French and English women! .
