I Like ItI Don’t Like It

There was a time when campaign paraphernalia was simply t-shirts, buttons, and bumper stickers. But in 2008, as Obama's momentum grew, so did new means for expressing it. Even after the election, the nation was so collectively giddy that Obamaniacs (and their new converts) continued to wear their presidential pride.

But buyer beware: this is going to look a little weird after the inauguration, when he really is our president. So along with 2008, it's time to bid farewell to Obama Outfits. It was fun while it lasted.

See more Obama slideshows.

Obamas", miniature economic stimulus. I wonder what Obama's election has contributed to the US economy???

I know exactly how they feel. I have so much Obama stuff that I have people coming up to me in Dallas every day asking me where did I find this. You know it wasn't here, but I tell them so that I can see more Obama love in Big D. I have Obama stickers all over my Tahoe. My daughter has Obama stickers all over her school folders. We love him and we love America for loving him too and doing the right thing. Even though we didn't win Texas, I think it'll happen next time.

I am a strong Obama supporter, but most of these photos make me want to cringe. This mountain of Obama crap just cheapens the historical moment.
Political propaganda on dogs or babies or children or others who cannot form a political stance = NO!

I still have a golden unshelled peanut glued to a tie clip that was a Jimmy Carter campaign gew-gaw. Nobody ever wore it ~ my family was Republican but my sister married into a Dem family from Georgia and it was a gift of sorts from them. I remember my mother thought it was the tackiest thing ever. It probably is!

Our President's a one-man stimulus package!

If you think there's a lot of stuff (kitchy, creative, or outright shlocky) now....just wait until Jan 21....

He may stimulate you and from what I read he has really stimulated the far left.

In case you didn't notice America Michelle Obama (future first lady) looks fabulous in RED.
Now every woman in America is suddenly wearing nothing but. Don't believe me, check out almost every woman on national as well as cable news. Michelle has really started a trend. Most women look great in red. It's a fun color, does wonders for the complexion and is slimming. I can see right now, Michelle will be a first lady with LOTS of swaggar. Move over Jackie O, Michelle IS in the house.

I have way better looking Obama shirts. Mine have amazing graphics. I have given most of them away to my fellow Obama lovers. Most people are keeping them for their children.

where did you get them? i am going to the inauguration and hope to get lots of t-shirts. my best gift this Christmas was talking to my 80 nyear old Dad on Christmas night while he reviewed his Obama books he got for Christmas.

I am so hopeful for the next 8 years. our campaign team is getting back together in the new year which is so exciting.

My dad in Detroit has been able to find the most incredible shirts. They look so good I have people stopping me in Dallas everytime I wear an Obama shirt. I have the one that has the First Couple, PE Barack Hussein Obama and all that. I think the man's store has an email address. Let me know if you want it.

gah this man is being put on a higher and higher pedestal. i don't hate the guy by any means, but politicians should not be gods. obama is the democrat's bush, let's just hope he doesn't fall as hard (and if you think he won't fall at all, you don't know anything about political history).

There is absolutely NOTHING Bush-like about Obama, first of all.

Secondly, I think that the country is so hungry for someone who is intelligent, well-spoken and acts as if he gives a da%#, that they are just sort of feeling good enough to sort of brag about him. We want the rest of the world to know that Americans DO care and that we, also, hunger for the days of old when Presidents of the USA could be looked up to.

Don't blame Obama that people are in an Obama frenzy. He has shown all sorts of humility through all of this. He kept his cool and calm even in the most dire of moments during the election. He is serious and seems to be able to hold himself well above the fray. Can he help it if people hunger for this?

btw, Obama is the first to admit that he may fall at times. It is inevitable in the days ahead that there will be trials and tribulations. No one said otherwise. It would be that way WHOMEVER took over in this quagmire.

However, it is nice to know that he will not run and hide to a fake ranch every time the going gets tough, that he will more than likely admit it if he errs, that he will try something else if the first thing fails, and that he will listen to others' learned opinions and take well-honored advice. He is serious and steadfast. He hit the ground running. He means business.

We don't expect perfection from our Presidents. But Bush, Jr. is the first Pres. I can remember who truly acted as if he didn't give one big dang.

I don't remember any Bush accessories.

To compare Obama to Bush? You lose all credibility.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 07:45 PM on 12/31/2008

I don't see him as a god and he has already admited he may fall and I don't recall anyone wearing anything that said Bush that wasn't insulting to him.
I will continue to wear my sweatshirts, etc because I support my President.( Future Pres that is ) I also don't think anyone could possibly fall harder than GW and I am well versed in political history.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
