A reporter in Lake Tahoe, Nevada got more than she bargained for when she did some live reporting on New Year's Eve.

I wonder how she would have felt if she was the one out there. MSNBC gets dumber by the minute.
Yeah, she had a job to do, but it wasn't like she was reporting from some fox hole in Afghanastan - she was reporting on New Years Eve...
I recognize the microphone as a dynamic omni, most likely an electrovoice. Those things can take a lot of abuse without damage. In other words a nice little club. So in the same circumstances I would have given kissy-boy a mic right in literally the kisser and smacked camera hog on the back of the head.
Something like that happened to a woman TV reporter in Mumbai during the ter.rorist attack, although the spirit of that disruption was much more hostile....
Some more ignorant, spoiled idiots that shouldn't be outside.
She should have tazered him . . . repeatedly . . . .

Kissy Guy was acting classy, just wanted to create a cute moment for the footage. Annoying Interrupting Girl and Mooning Brothers were no-class obnoxious.
That's the kind of drunken behavior that gets some guys too frisky to handle, and can lead to unwanted sexual advances, and even date rape. I don't see anything classy in his attempted kiss, and I feel sorry for any other women who were leered and pawed by this guy without their permission that night. As for the others, the mooners, and girl...that was rude, and I'm sure their parents, employers, and other relatives are so proud!
Let's see 2009 reverly = guy committing date rape? Where do you guys get this stuff. She could have easily turned that situation into a cute moment instead of coming of as some annoyed diva. If it was a guy reporter and a girl kissed him on the cheek some of the inane comments I'm seeing would not be posted.
She sucked as a reporter and if she was really concerned she should have reported from somewhere else a bit more tame.
I have several problems just looking at the picture without listening to the complete video.
The man has his BIG hand on her neck. It is also clear he is a tall man, therefore, the cameraman didn't have the B@LLS to put the camera down to protect this small woman.
The love of money will make you sell your own mother as the ojays song goes, This is a case, no matter what danger you are in, get the perceived story. No news should be that important. No amount of money to be made should be higher than the well being of another person's life.
From the picture, I can see the real story. In the future, mr. cameraman, put the camera down, if the drunk refuse to get it together, after asking to back off, action to protect the lady is more important.
"Cute moment"?? You guys just don't get it. Imagine a complete stranger, someone who towered a foot over you and weighed about 100 lbs. more than you, pushing and pawing you while drunkenly slobbering on you.

As a reporter, she doesn't get to choose where or what she'll be reporting. New Year's celebrations went on throughout the country yet no where else, including with the the 1/2 million people packed into Times Square, were any other reporters similarly abused.
Classy? There can be nothing quite as "classy" as having some drunken lummox slobbering on you whilst wrapping his King Kong sized mitt around your neck.
