Donor To Bill's Foundation Helped By Legislation Enacted By Hillary

An upstate New York developer donated $100,000 to former President Bill Clinton's foundation in November 2004, around the same time that Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton helped secure millions of dollars in federal assistance for the businessman's mall project.

And there was absolutely no conection between her being on the board of directors of Wal-Mart and Bill being governor of Arkansas years ago. Clearly Susan Bayh would have all those lucrative board seats even if Evan was not a senator. It was a mere coincidence that Michelle Obama got a board of directors seat after Barak went to the Senate, but Gov. Bag-O-__it, is the most corrupt politition in American history for trying to get his wife a board of directors job in exchange for a senate seat.

Yah, I really think Bill convinced all those people to fund a mall just so he could get a small donation for his library. The “American Jobs Creation Act” passed in November 2004 allowed the U.S. Treasury to provide tax-exempt bond designation for qualified projects that meet strict environmental review criteria, including developing LEED-certified buildings, reducing emissions, and providing employment for at least 1,500 people.

Senator Schumer’s press release; “Those selected, including Destiny USA, have committed to use all savings from this special class of bonds to integrate renewable energy and green construction techniques on a very large and visible scale,…..The Green Bonds legislation required applicants to demonstrate the ability to meet rigorous energy and environmental requirements.”

Destiny USA is expanding the Carousel Center in Syracuse to be Central New York's premier shopping and entertainment destination and the region's top tourist attraction.

Under the terms of agreement Destiny USA committed to reduce So2 output on the project by 1780 tons per year, among many other "Green" initiatives.

So Central New York will get a Shopping and Entertainment Destination including a 1300 room Hotel/Resort complex (with solar power), and all of the jobs and revenue that come with building a destination complex.

The investors who purchase the bonds to build the complex don’t have to pay taxes on the interest because the project passed a rigorous energy and environmental test.

And $5 million was put aside to improve traffic flow to the Central New York destination complex.

Was the general partner of Destiny USA banned from donating to the Clinton Foundation because he does business in New York?.

THis is why I want Caroline Kennedy in that Senate seat she is NOT corrupt she has integrity unlike her predecesser. I'm sick and tired of corruption in politics we need to put in people who have integrity. I dont care if Caroline hasnt voted consistently or supported other Dems. I dont have to worry about her doing these kinds of things. The fact that she wasnt hungry to get into politics for most of her life is why I know she will get into it for the right reasons.

Putting aside all the questions about the donations, and Bill's Foundation, I want to know how things are going with DestinyUSA!!!

Hubbie and I moved to Northern New York 6 years ago. DEstinyUSA was being planned, etc. Has anything actually HAPPENED with it yet? All these tax breaks, etc, wow.

But has anything actually happened?? Nope. I hear it has hit so many roadblocks and problems, I doubt it will ever get off the ground. So, what happens with all those special deals that Congers got????

And I WISH TO HECK the media would STOP calling Syracuse UPSTATE. It is not UPSTATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always consider UPSTATE to be above Westchester county, like Albany etc.

Seems to be going quite well from what I've read, slow because of the credit crunch, but is on Phase 2 of the project right now.

Such a non-story. For those Hillary Haters who didn't bother with the entire story, Congel also gave large donations to the campaigns of Schumer and Rangel and several others - Dem and GOPhers (small print, so you have to look for it).

Wonder why Charlie Savage did not mention HOW MANY JOBS were created for economically depressed Syracuse. Guess he forgot to mention that bit of data...

Perhaps he can write a story exposing the NAME of the person who gave a quarter million to the Bust Presidential Library. Didn't realize comic books were so expensive...

Bush is leaving office. We know how bad it is with what may be going on with his library. Right now, there is a job that needs to be filled and we need to make sure that all information is presented in the consideration of her position. Bush is not up for a job. Get it?
