I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Vice President Dick Cheney admits that the pre-war intelligence for Iraq was "flawed" but says that does not change anything about how the war has been conducted.

...

"The original intelligence was wrong, no question about it," Cheney said on the show. "But there were parts of it that were right. It wasn't 100 percent wrong. It was correct in saying he had the technology. It was correct in saying he still had the people who knew how to build weapons of mass destruction. I think it was also correct in the assessment that once sanctions came off, he would go back to doing what he had been doing before.

Admitting he was wrong about their unjust war, would be the last thing Bush or Cheney would ever do... I believe they'll take it to their graves.

If we let this man walk, we let future despots know that it's ok to start wars.

To quote Rep Robert Wexler, "... if we fail to act, history may well judge us complicit in the alleged crimes of Vice President Cheney...."

Let the war crimes trials begin!

Well, if he doesn't 'see' any civil rights, how on earth could he have possibly 'violated' any!!

Dick, no one said the intelligence was 100% wrong. Most said you were 100% wrong.

Nothing new to report here. Honestly, what do people think Cheney is going to say? There is nothing surprising about his statements regarding his and Bush's "legacy."

If he expressed true regret about the Bush administration's illegal and immoral conduct, now THAT would be truly shocking.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." -- Joseph Goebbels

Cheney's done his homework.

Sergeant of arms arrest that man as soon as he is out of power. There must be a price for him to pay.

The intel was correct, Cheney & Gang just ignored tit. They were 100% wrong and should pay for the 4,200+ dead GIs, tens of thousands wounded, million Iraqis dead and millions more displaced. Not to mention the 2 trillion bucks gone.

He's right, Iraq is still in Iraq. So they were on the money there (except I'm guessing for many of his staffers, who find it by blindfolding themselves and sticking a pin in a map).

I guess in Cheney's eyes, "not 100% wrong" means he was 100% right!
