No one thought that, But the troopers did observe that she changed her behavior during the campaign. She quit selling because she was afraid of all the USSS activity going on with the family. The USSS keeps tabs on everything going on around a protectee, and they do a LOT of snooping.

I come from a small town and when someone's son committed a crime they went to a well known police officer friend's home. The first thing he told the man was to turn his son in. WTH is wrong with these damn politicians and their cronies hiding information and crimes due to someone's position? I'll bet they're the same people sitting in church on Sunday calling themselves Christians too.

I don't think there was a conspiracy or cover-up here, just cops trying to protect the case they've built against this woman. Had they made the bust during the campaign, the Republicans would've sent in armies of lawyers and the right-wing pundits would've gone crazy claiming it was a politically-motivated attempt to smear Palin.

The cops were simply laying low until after the election so that the charges they've brought will stick. Smart move.

Well, let's see. Sarah and her family (extended, future, immediate. . . whatever) can't find Jesus to get themselves out of this mess. I mean, you can only be reborn so many times before it gets kind of old.
Maybe witchcraft can show Sister Sarah the way to that crack she can break through (Oh, oh! Did I say crack?).
You know, there's just no way to legitimize this motley crew. They're destined for humiliation throughout their entire, collective, miserable lives. Every time one of them opens their mouth (or their door to a drug agent), they get in trouble.
But I do wish Sarah somehow squeaks into the presidential campaign in '12. I just loved her appearance on stage, rallying the troops to "Kill him!", matching wits with Biden--excuse me, that didn't happen--.showing off her newly acquired wardrobe.
I only wish Molly Ivans, Hunter Thompson, H.L. Mencken and Machiavelli could be around to witness what's going on with the Republican Party.
