Conan's "Tonight Show" Moving Studios

WHEN Conan O'Brien takes over the "To night Show" in June, it will be the first time in nearly 40 years that the show will get a new home.

Conan is leaving behind the studio in "beautiful downtown Burbank" that Johnny Carson made famous and moving several miles away into the house that Jack Benny built.

I'll bet David Letterman can't hardly wait for Conan to take off. His numbers will go through the roof.

Same with Craig Ferguson against Fallon who will probably tank so bad he'll give Chevy Chase his reputation back.

This story has the facts wrong.

Carson's show taped in a studio that currently is where Access Hollywood is taped.

Leno changed studios - back in the 1990s - because he wanted a layout that would bring him closer to the audience. It's not 'with modifications' - it's a totally different studio.

Everyone on the whole Burbank lot is leaving for Universal City in the next couple of years.

Considering that I couldn't care less about Conan taking over the Tonight Show, it will be a shame to see it leave Burbank. When my relatives come here for a visit, we've been known to take the NBC studio tour and the Tonight Show set is a big part of that. I've been there when Johnny was still hosting, and I've seen Leno's set as well. Then it's off to Bob's Big Boy for a burger ;)

Now I guess the big draw will only be the Days of Our Lives set, huh? meh...

His show hasn't been as good since Andy Richter left years ago. Still he will be an upgrade from Leno.

Conan looks as if he's wearing a mask out of the Twilight Zone. How anyone can watch his boring show for an hour is beyond me. Like art, his humor is for certain people.
