Patricia Arquette Files For Divorce

LOS ANGELES — Patricia Arquette has filed for divorce from her actor-husband.

Arquette filed for divorce from Thomas Jane in Los Angeles on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who were married in May 2006, have a 5-year-old daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope Jane.

Arquette, the Emmy-winning star of the NBC show "Medium," is seeking custody of their daughter, with visitation rights for Jane.

Jane, who appeared in the 2007 film "The Mist" and 2004's "The Punisher," was placed on a year's probation in September after pleading no contest to a drunken driving count in California's Kern County.

I worked with mer on Medium, several friends still do, and have nothing to say about her other than that she is a kind, smart, hard-working (and naturally beautiful) actor and human being. Her personal life is her business, but I just have to say that in the face of so many digs at her and her family.

And why exactly again are straight marriages considered "sacred" when said marriages seem to have a revolving door policy that completely ignores the "for better or for worse" part of the agreement/sacred contract before their God?
