Special Elections For Emanuel Seat Set For March, April

The special primary election to succeed Rahm Emanuel in the Northwest Side's 5th Congressional District will be March 3, followed by a general election on April 7, Gov. Rod Blagojevich said today.

The governor needed to set special elections because Emanuel has taken the post of chief of staff under the incoming administration of President-elect Barack Obama administration.
