Twitters Hacked: Fox News, Barack Obama, Rick Sanchez, Britney Spears

A flurry of high-profile Twitter accounts have been hacked, most prominently the Fox News account, which has declared that Bill O'Reilly is gay.

Fox News' Twitter posted an update, since deleted, Monday morning announcing, "Bill O Riley is gay."

CNN's Rick Sanchez, a prominent Twitter user, was also hacked. His malicious tweet read, "i am high on crack right now might not be coming to work today."

Britney Spears's Twitter also fell victim, with hackers announcing that her vagina is "4 feet wide with razor sharp teeth."

Update: Barack Obama's Twitter, which hasn't been used since November 5, has also been hacked. The Washington Times points out that a message was posted around 12:30 PM eastern time promoting a survey on Obama:

A message sent about 12:30 eastern time alerted the president-elect's tens of thousands of Twitter followers of a new message: "What is your opinion on Barack Obama? Take the survey and possibly win $500 in free gas." The message then linked to an odd two-question survey on a third party's Web site.

The post was taken down shortly after it was posted.

The Twitter accounts of US president-elect Barack Obama, singer Britney Spears and other prominent figures were hacked on Monday and fake messages sent out in their names on the micro-blogging service.

I would be pleased if Billo was gay - if there was no procedures that would allow him to breed. Of course, you do have to wonder about women who would willingly dabble in that shallow end of the of the gene pool.

He is indeed a clown but he is truly questionable in one area that some people tend to forget or never knew about. Back a few years ago he had to give a huge monetary settlement to a former co-worker who filed charges on him for gross sexual harrassment. He first tried to deny it and claim that he was being exthorted, but low and behold she produced phone messages and other evidence that left him with no way out but to pay her not to go public with it. Every time I hear that he has questioned someone's morals it makes my skin crawl.

Yeah, you are absolutely right, it is homophobic. But it doesn't look like the Post gives a care given all the anti-women and anti-gay comments on H post threads that are let through moderation (homophobia is closely linked to misogyny, btw) - but of course both of these prejudices are still socially acceptable apparently...it's also apparent in all the anti-gay ballot measures that were put to a vote this past nov. (i.e. the anti-gay-marriage/adoption bans)

The O'Reilly twit was by a disgruntled fact-checker, who resented being called into the office to do work for the first time. Turns out that was a prank e-mail, from Britney's cracked account.

I don't know who Rick Sanchez is, and cracking President Obama's account is not funny.

Judging from the range of celebrity and corporate accounts hacked, someone found their way onto Twitter's main server.

This is why you should own two computers which are not connected. A desktop for surfing and a secure laptop with Low-Jack for everything else.

They were bored, so they hacked twitter for the fun of it. Should worry you it was that easy for them.
