Greta Van Susteren Slams CNN For Insulting Sarah Palin

Greta Van Susteren has taken to her blog, GretaWire, to again hit CNN — this time for insulting Sarah Palin publicly and privately issuing an apology.

CNN included Palin on its year-end list of politicians who fell from grace in 2008. Although the network has since removed her from the list, it did so quietly, without any trace that she ever appeared alongside politicians like Eliot Spitzer, John Edwards, and Rod Blagojevich.

Greta also reports that CNN relayed to Palin, through a producer, an apology for including her on the list, though they did not publicly acknowledge the situation, leaving Greta with two questions:

1/ why didn't CNN PUBLICLY apologize for this one? they sure unfairly trashed her publicly on that list....should not exposure of the apology equal the round the world exposure of the unfair trashing? That is what is done in court - you do what is necessary to make the person whole in the damage done to the person...and then it is over.

2/ a producer? why did she get stuck doing the dirty work on this one? why didn't someone higher up the corporate food chain send the message of apology if CNN really means it? the job stature of the person making the apology can mean much. This IS the Governor of the largest state...a former candidate for VP....and the trashing went world wide and was really lousy....

Greta routinely takes to GretaWire to blast CNN — recently, to challenge network execs for laying staffers off shortly before the holidays, and famously last year to accuse CNN of "cooking the books" to boost Anderson Cooper's ratings.

I wonder why CNN retracted. Palin totally fell from grace with her lack of knowledge about ANYTHING relevant to being a VP being exposed. Yes, Sarah, Africa is a continent. Roe V. Wade is not the ONLY controversial Supreme Court ruling. Abuse of power IS a crime. etc. etc.

Every day CNN shows a picture for the day. The Staff puts a caption to the picture and the emailers send in their idea of a 'caption' for the pic. The pic with this story has Greta and Sarah staring at something.... I don't know what... kind of puzzled..?
Sarah is sort of 'smiling'....

Greta van Susteran is being the fair minded person that her legal background dictates she be. Her questionning of CNN is right, correct and appropriate.

CNN, like the New York Times, like so many left leaning news organizations, has a lot of financial worries right now. The slimming of Palin is just an attempt to get ratings and boost their poor numbers.

It is right and fair that someone out there call them on the carpet for their slime journalism.

Those like Greta in media are the ones who are bought and paid for who cover and distort truth as a rule. They defend the right for whatever their own personal reasons are and they're not good. The media who have hearts, integrity and true concern for all people only relayed what the majority of our people were thinking and saying about Sara. It was the truth as we saw it and media got blamed. She should never have accepted the VP position. That made us very angry because she knew she wasn't qualified and she proved it with all her essence (continuous lies and distortions). Fact is, the republican (bush) experience we've been through was seriously horrific and just her accepting the Vice Presidency from them scared the hell out of normal decent people who are tired of the illegal war and all that came with it. They would have had a blank slate in her ignorance and we knew what we were in store for if she got in. (a blank slate just like bush was). She cared not for America, she only saw power and wealth on the horizon and accepted for the most selfish and greedy reasons possible. That's why we hate what Sara stood for, period!

For my part, I will remember the media who reported that Obama attended a madrassa, examined claims that Obama was born in another country, and that reported endlessly on Wright, Ayers, and Rezko. The same media who reported with a straight face the claims that Michelle Obama used the word "whitey". This list goes on, but space is limited.

I will also remember the media that did NOT report the crackpot notion that Trig wasn't Palin's baby. No major news outlet ever gave credence to the story. The only time the MSM mentioned it was when Palin did. The MSM also totally ignored the Inquirer story about Palin having an affair. Odd that FoxNews chose to report extensively on a similar Inquirer story about John Edwards.

I remember a mainstream media who barely touched on the Alaska Independence Party, of which Palin's husband was a long time member. No mention was made that the AIP had the quote "I've got no use for America and her dam-ed institutions" at the top of their website. Likewise, the mainstream press barely gave mention to Palin charging Alaska for her children's travel when no other state governor has done so. That Palin charged Alaska per diem for time she spent at her own home was mentioned, but was largely ignored. I could continue, but again, space is limited.

Like I said, believe what you want. I will remember the truth.

You mean you weren't watching her in action? The facts were all in her actions, repeatedly. The associations she kept trying to hurt Obama with were nothing compared to those behind McCain. Obama was too decent a person to go there but many of us knew the facts and wish he had. She repeated what she was told and we witnessed the dirtiest campaign ever waged. Then the blame went to Obama as it was said he was the one running the dirty campaign. So many lies and you either bought them or weren't paying attention. Seriously, log off of Team Sarah for a few hours and read a little bit about her. Palin has serious ethical issues that are clear to anyone who looks with an open mind. Forget for a second that you think she is a good Christian woman and examine what she has done in her professional life.
