Ken Blackwell, Robocalling For RNC Chair Post

RNC Chairman hopeful Ken Blackwell has apparently begun a robocall campaign to help persuade enough committee members to elect him to the top post.

Individuals have reported receiving automated calls from Blackwell that come in the form of a brief questionnaire but then ask the recipient to contact a Republican National Committeeman on Blackwell's behalf.

In the script, apparently, Blackwell also refers to himself as "articulate and effective."

But robocalls, usually, are an ineffective way to get voters to the polls or to persuade them to vote for or against a specific candidate. As a way of encouraging phone calls on one candidate's behalf, they seem likely to be even more futile. But they are cheap. And in a six-way race for the next RNC chair, each candidate is looking for the most leverage he can get.

Already, Blackwell has the backing of some prominent conservative figures, including Tony Perkins, Steve Forbes and Ed Meese. He and his fellow RNC Chair candidates are in the midst of several forums and debates over the direction of the party.

A call to his office for comment was not returned.

I wonder if FLS-DCI has the robo call contract? The "S" in FLS is Tom Synhorst-a founding partner of Gov.tech. That was the IT company owned by the recently deceased Mike Connell-the Wizard of GOP IT systems .Also ,of the Ohio 2000 and 2004 voting fraud scandal of which Blackwell had a prominent stake. FLS-DCI has been the go to guys for all GOP dirty tricks. They were behind the Swiftboating of Kerry,too. Check out the endorsement of their services,on their website, by none other than Karl Rove. Did I forget to mention they share address with Norm Coleman?

My brother's best friend's dad is a Republican (he's black). He also listens to Rush Limbaugh, he says Rush has become "meaner" in recent years but that he used to "tell it like it is". I had to stop myself from laughing out loud when I heard him say that.

Before you ask that question, ask yourself what the motivation would be for the Republican Party to select Blackwell? Merit? Pandering? Pandering. Hence, the uncle tom statement qualified by her statement of race. Don't get it? Didn't think you would, being a white conservative. The RNC doesn't get it either.
