Joe The Plumber To Become War Correspondent

TOLEDO, Ohio — Joe The Plumber is putting down his wrenches and picking up a reporter's notebook.

The Ohio man who became a household name during the presidential campaign says he is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for the conservative Web site pjtv.com.

Samuel J. Wurzelbacher (WUR'-zuhl-bah-kur) says he'll spend 10 days covering the fighting.

He tells WNWO-TV in Toledo that he wants to let Israel's "'Average Joes' share their story."

Wurzelbacher gained attention during the final weeks of the campaign when he asked Barack Obama about his tax plan.

He later joined Republican John McCain on the campaign trail. At one stop, he agreed with a McCain supporter who asked if he believed a vote for Obama was a vote for the death of Israel.

I have several family members that are in the military and what they tell us is VERY different than what we hear and see on the media or read in the papers when it comes to these ' wars' we keep getting involved in..pjtv is a nonsense site, its viewers are mostly male and BIASED against EVERYTHING .People like Sol Stern make videos for the site and most of what they say IS nonsense.Stern is a CONSERVATIVE who is connected to the Manhattan Institute and is a contributing editor to the quarterly magazine City Journal .Almost everyone of the pjtv 'journalists ' are conservatives and spred a lot of conservative B/S to the mostly male viewers of their site. Joe fits right in as he hasn't found himself yet.

I doubt Joe the Plumber's emergence was a 'chance encounter". I think the McCain campaign looked in their data base for supporters in the areas of Obama venues and that time got lucky. It happens, it's not unusual for campaigns to seek out a poster child in that way.

Joe just isn't bright enough to ask the question he asked in the way it was asked unless somebody emailed it to him. He was never thinking of acquiring a business and the hypothetical price he named just happened to straddle the Obama proposed tax bracket. Coincdence? Nope.
