I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Tuesday night offered a plethora of late-night jokes. Jokes ranged from Bill Richardson and the economy to Roland Burris and Angelina Jolie, here are some of the best jokes from Leno, Letterman, Kimmel, Jon Stewart

Leno on Bill Richardson:
"He voluntarily pulled out, which is ironic because John Edwards won't be in the Obama cabinet because he didn't pull out."

I love David Lettermen's humorr about the dog running off at the end ~ with Angelina Jolie ~ (ha, ha) ... but I bet she didn't like it very much, nor did her partner Brad Pitt, considering he's the 'dog' ... wink.

The Edwards "joke" was way over the line.

I liked Edwards. It broke my heart when I heard the scandal. He is still a very good politician. I miss him.

not to be nit-picky but dont you mean conscience as in the inner sense of what is right or wrong; impelling one toward the right action NOT conscious (as in awake and not TKO'd)!

Jon Stewart had me on floor especially with the picture of Blago and Burris.

So God wants Burris to be Senator? Cute. But didn't He also want Bush to be president (Bush says) too?

I want God to stay out of politics entirely. He picks lousy candidates.

And don't forget Sarah Palin is like, you know, waiting for Him to open a door for her...

Actually, I heard a really good argument about the Abrahamic God *deliberately* chooses awful rulers whenever His followers try to stray to the path of secularism (IOW, imitating the gentile nations that surrounded them instead of being happy with God's standard rule), as a form of punishment. IIRC, he chose David on the grounds that he was the tallest, or had a certain type of hair, or some other unrelated reason.

Oh, I see. A grammar-police poster making a snarky comment criticizing someone's lack of punctuation is okay. But when I correct the smarty-pants' reply's punctuation, I get scrubbed.

Got it.

Burris thanking god for his appointment to the senate is not new. Through the history of this country others have said the same thing, including Bush.
