I Like ItI Don’t Like It

TO the laundry list of global woes the Obama administration is expected to set right, starting Jan. 20, one can probably add the quagmire of American fashion. True, it will have to wait in line behind the hemorrhaging economy and the situations in Gaza, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and Pakistan. True, too, it will scarcely be a top-of-mind concern for the president himself.

YES MICHELLE CAN SET A FASHION TREND... AND AS AMERICA'S FIRST LADY, SHE DEFINITELY DOES...

The black coat outfit worn on the historic train ride to DC was lovely. And Michelle is beginning to learn to wear outfits and dresses becoming a "First Lady" now. However, she hasn't always chose the right dress, such as the Black and Red election night dress that would make any blind man see. THAT ONE, SHE SHOULD JUST BURN, DON'T TRY TO SAVE IT. JUST BURN IT !

Yes by setting her own trend in the industry , and try not to be someone else she is not, as some of the "know it all-talking heads" would want her to be. By the way there is nothing wrong with her style, and i hope to see her on occasion wearing a cornrows style hair do, and Barack relaxing in a Dashiki.

I doubt it is on her list of priorities. And besides, she has curves like a normal woman, so how can designers create for her when they only know how to dress stick figures?

How shallow - when kids are hungry, the world in turmoil - and you people think fashion is so important?

...sigh...

Look at those other women, now ask yourself this; How can Michelle Obama fail to save fashion?' It's a no lose proposition.

I love her style...it is unique to HER!!! I'm hoping that she will continue to pick and choose clothing (NOT fashion, 'cause that changes with the seasons) that accentuate her body type, but most importantly what she's comfortable in wearing.

I think most of the educated fashion world would strongly disagree, but it could be just me. Last time I checked the fashion industry did not need saving. Michelle Obama does however have great style, on most occasions. Does Washington care, I don't believe so. She might however have an impact on the way fashion victims dress, and that is to not let the clothing and accessories outshine you. A woman who can combine high and low of fashion has good taste in my book. Choosing simple styles like Jackie O wore is the way to go if you are not sure, now she was a fashion icon. http://www.lelamoda.com

Fashion is incapable of being saved. The truth is that fashion designers have the worst taste in clothes.

Is she suppose to rescue fashion? She is aware of her appearance and always puts herself together really well. But she is no fashion icon- she sets the example of someone who wears what they like and is comfortable in her own skin and that IS GREAT.

However "fashionable" calls to mind a bit more of a trend setter with an original look (Carla Bruni, Audrey Hepburn ) and she certainly is not that.

well, I like Michelle's style, but the question of this article is ridiculous.
