What The Impeachment Panel Will Ask Burris

Democratic Senate leaders outlined a road map Wednesday allowing Roland Burris to fill President-elect Barack Obama's Senate seat, despite being appointed by the tainted Gov. Blagojevich.

The hurdles Burris must clear:

1. Testify today before the Illinois House Blagojevich impeachment panel and clear any doubts about the appointment, made by a governor arrested for, among other crimes, trying to sell the Obama seat.

Burris' statement Wednesday that he "don't have no money," has been misconstrued to mean that he doesn't have any money. Mr. Burris is a well educated man. Certainly by those words he meant he does have some money.

Lisa Madigan is the Attorney General of the State of Illinois. She is a member of the executive branch. Impeachment is a power vested exclusively in the legislative branch. Therefore, Lisa Madigan did not, because she cannot, start this "impeachment garbage" (and if this impeachment is garbage, show me one that isn't).

Also, I fail to see any logic behind your conclusion that Lisa Madigan stands to gain more than any other person on Earth if Blagojevich is impeached.

I think the key word there is "logic". In my experience people who use all caps aren't clear on the concept.

How can anyone support Blagojevich? He tried to stop funds going to a children's hospital because they didn't give him his piece of the action. He's on tape discussing how to barter Obama's seat for money or a job for his wife. Although I don't agree with Bush supporters, I can at least understand them. I can't understand how any democrat, or any person with morals, would still be supporting Blagojevich.
