"Dexter" Brother And Sister Now Husband-Wife

NEW YORK — They play brother and sister on "Dexter." Now in real life, Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are husband and wife. Hall's spokesman, Craig Bankey, said on Friday that the couple eloped in California on New Year's Eve. They'll walk the red carpet together at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday _ the first time publicly acknowledging their relationship.

Hall, 37, and Carpenter, 29, just finished the third season of "Dexter," the Showtime series in which Hall plays the murderous title character. They've been quietly dating for about a year and a half.

At their wedding, Carpenter's grandfather's wedding band was attached to her bouquet of white roses.

Okay, so Michael C. Hall, became so much more attractive since playing Dexter. This upsets me greatly, because as a gay man I could have enjoyed Six Feet Under so much more if he was as studly now as he was then. However, I assume that was Hall's interpretation of the characters and not actually himself. But regardless, he is very attractive and polite and nice; all in all he is a catch. Congrats to the happy couple, I wish you a long and happy marriage.

Funny, isn't it? I noticed that too. He was not easy on the eyes during SFU. It's weird how a different haircut can drastically change things. He's so cute on Dexter. And his wife on the show is absolutely stunning. I can't wait to see what she wears at the awards. Or is she even invited? Is Dexter nominated for best show??

My son loves slasher movies, but won't watch Dexter. Dexter is well written, well acted, and brings into play real issues of right and wrong. We hadn't watched it until it was a fill in with series one, and believe it or not, I got a copy of season two for Christmas. Not jingle bells, exactly, but the series is terrific.

I love Jennifer Carpenter. "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" still ranks as one of the scariest movies ever in my book, and I don't scare easily.

he's not gay, his brother on 'six ft. under is gay,' i love how dexter has two different personalities, the low key, geek at work, and the serial killer at night. that must be hard to pull off.

I'm glad every media site is taking the same angle..."brother and sister, now husband and wife". They obviously know that's gonna grab our attention. So I hate when people are surprised when people feel kinda sick upon hearing it.. The magazines are TRYING to make it sound sick. I personally don't understand where marriage came from. Give it a second. Didn't they get together pretty recently? Please no pregnant Deb storyline!!!!!! I love this show and have been a good sport about the Deb/Dexter relationship even though it's not my favorite idea.
