"Dexter" Brother And Sister Now Husband-Wife

NEW YORK — They play brother and sister on "Dexter." Now in real life, Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are husband and wife. Hall's spokesman, Craig Bankey, said on Friday that the couple eloped in California on New Year's Eve. They'll walk the red carpet together at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday _ the first time publicly acknowledging their relationship.

Hall, 37, and Carpenter, 29, just finished the third season of "Dexter," the Showtime series in which Hall plays the murderous title character. They've been quietly dating for about a year and a half.

At their wedding, Carpenter's grandfather's wedding band was attached to her bouquet of white roses.

In my opinion, the most obnoxious character on Dexter is the sister as played by Jennifer Carpenter. I do love Dexter though.

They're not really related on the show so it's not a huge problem for me. Anyway I think they're a cute couple. Deb is one of my favorite TV characters, she's really relatable.

They are actually half-siblings. Her father had an affair with Dexter's mother, that is why Harry took Dex, after he found him in the container. Still, unexpected, but cool! Awesome show!

i hope she doesnt use the crude language her character uses in the series in "real life"....i for one find that very unpleasant and could never imagine loving a person so inclined to "gutter speak" no matter how popular it seems to be with young people these days. It always amused me that my fifth garade students made it a point not to use "bad language" around me when i had playground duty at the school where i taught for many years. I often wished that my fellow teachers were as thoughtfull.

"Bad" language is relative. Don't let your provincial manners leave you with the impression that the rest of the world is so simple as to label even words with the childish brush of "good" or "bad". Some of us are adults, and the words we use reflect that. You may think that it's the reverse, and it's people who swear that are childish, but that's not the case. A word only has as much power as any group gives it.

Absolutely LOVE this show. Hope it stays good. Say fellow Dexter fan, do you think that Rita's gonna spring a big fat surprise on Dex and tell him she's a serial killer too? Just wondering where all that is going. He just doesn't do "about to be married" very well.

Dexter is my favorite show, and I don't own a tv. Michael C. Hall was so convincing in Six Feet Under, I always assumed he was gay in real life. Wow, very cool. Hope they're very happy together.
