I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Speaking for the first time since her Dec. 18 arrest on charges of selling OxyContin, Sherry Johnston -- whose son, Levi fathered a son with Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, last month -- tells PEOPLE she got hooked on the prescription opiate after a hysterectomy eight years ago, which led to seven additional surgeries.

"I was in pain, and I'm still in pain," she says.

If she were a black relative of Obama's, and got busted with a joint, Republicans would be going nuts.

But since she's white, and addicted to the Rush Limbaugh type of drug, well, she aint so bad.

I understand chronic pain. Regardless whether she's in pain or not, why was she selling her pain meds?

She is using a hysterectomy eight years ago as the excuse for her addiction! That is outragiously funny. I had that same surgery years ago and I took tylenol three for two days.

Every body is different. As is every surgeon. I've been "butchered"; it happens more than it should.

IF that's her real "problem".

I guarentee The Gov Sarah Palin helped with her story.

Wow! To be a drug addicted dealer in Wasila, Alaska related to Sarah Palin while having your photo and story known around the world has to SUCK. I hope she gets the help she needs in or out of prison. Isnt it dark almost 24 hours a day there now? No wonder SP got elected, the people have all got to be just a little koo koo.

If you want to have sympathy for her addiction, fine. But don't excuse the selling!

This is not a victimless crime. It hurts and destroys children, families, friends, coworkers and even costs lives. If she wants to ruin her own life, let her go up in the hills and be our guest. But to do this around her kids is bad enough. And then to make the decision to help others ruin their lives by selling... she needs to be put away. Give her rehab while she's in, but don't let her out until she's had a sufficient whack on the side of the head. She'll have to WANT to change. Right now she's too busy blaming. If she loses her kids and freedom for awhile, she just might appreciate them more.

Bristol AKA Bristol Meyers Squibb a pharmaceutical company.
Oxycodone is a schedule II controlled substance, i.e. it must be given by written prescription which cannot have refills, nor can it be called in to a pharmacy by a physician. Trafficking (dealing) is punishable at first offense by not more than 20 years imprisonment. If there's a related death or serious injury, then not less than 20 years (up to life sentence) and a fine of US$1 million if an individual or US$5 million if not an individual.
Oxycodone is 1.5 to 2 time stronger than Morphine, and was originally produced in Germany to replace Heroin as a painkiller.

It's not her fault!

"Drugs are the biggest game in town" one local who does not want to be named tells us. "There ain't nothing to do here, its church then drugs then some more church, a bit of hunting then drugs and perhaps drink: the place is as boring as it gets" a young "Wasillan" informs us.

I am certainly not a medical professional, but what they heck happens in a hysterectomy to require seven subsequent surgeries and a medical pump? She would have gotten better care in Canada. This woman needs good medical care and a malpractice attorney.

And even if this is true, it doesn't excuse her from selling drugs to others.

It could be endometriosis. That can be a real mess and very painful when it gets outside the uterus.

I just noticed that the word pain is only one letter off from Palin. That
explains a lot. As far as Levy's mother is concerned: Do you really
want your son marrying into a family even lower-brow than yours?

Of all the people I've ever heard about....she's one of them.
That is about the extent of my care about her "story."

What does being in pain have to do with dealing? It's an unfortunate fact that many people become addicted to pain killers while managing pain but they don't become dealers.

I guess it depends on what your definition of what a dealer is. Sounds like she sold some of her pills to pay the bills.
