Smart Men Have Better Sperm: Study

Smart men rejoice:

Turns out that intelligent people are generally healthier than their less-clever peers - studies have shown that brainiacs are, for instance, less likely to suffer from heart disease and Alzheimer's. Scientists have suggested that smart people may score less stressful jobs in safer places and that they may make better lifestyle choices, for instance by exercising more and eating better. In other words, maybe bright people actually listen to the Surgeon General.

But these newest findings, to be published in an upcoming issue of the journal Intelligence, found that negative habits had little effect on sperm quality, so they don't support that theory.

The researchers instead speculate that intelligence might be passed down as part of a larger package of good attributes. One gene can influence multiple traits, so the genes involved in smarts may somehow improve sperm quality - and perhaps other characteristics as well.

Ps. It's not brains but the common misconception or refusal to differentiate between them cunning. Its a machiavelliodian game. What's the difference between a dance-club robot, a hipper one "dcr"and say the 140+ i.q. type who refuses to "play the game (think cycle of humiliation)" The "oddball" gets discarded.

Funny, brains are actually looked down upon. I guess we have sperm banks for folks who can't or think sex with a dork is "icky". Think about what happens when a prospective mate realizes that you're more intelligent (or not as stupid) as them. They usually blow you off or try to bleed you white (ala the bs, brains but no common-sense attack line). More dubious, empty pseudo-science.

The two people I have known who suffer from Alzheimer's are both PHD's, one actually has two PHD's.Both lived healthy lifestyles­..go figure. Sure smart people may have smarter kids, but as to old age diseases, I remain unconvinced.

Because when women are young they like to mate with dumb brutes they can somewhat control and when they get older and wiser they want smart men to take care of them and their spawn. They ultimately make the choice what "sperm" they let into their lives and their own self-esteem determines what they can manage. In this society a marginally ugly man with intelligence just above a grapefruit will never be short of mates.
