Roland Burris may return to Washington next week to demand that he be accepted as the legitimate Senate appointee to replace President-elect Barack Obama and be sworn into office, according to a Burris adviser.
If Burris' appointment is not accepted, he will file a lawsuit challenging Majority Leader Harry Reid and the Democratic leadership's refusal to seat him, the adviser said.

According to law, Burris does have the right to be seated. We have no idea what Fitzgerald has on those tapes and he wouldn't even release them to the Illinois House. Right now, it appears Blago is guilty before innocent according to the House. What proof did they have to make their decision? So, seat Burris and come 2010, if the people choose vote him out. In the meantime, all this is distracting from Rahm Emmanuel's seat in the 5th district. We've all heard of Chicago-style politics, the Daley Machine...you mean to tell me Blago is the only thing coming out the whole mess? I think there's a whole lot more!

Like I said you never supported Obama from the beginning you were a Clinton Supporter and all because you thought it was going to be easy; But Obama did want you and Roland Burris weren"t willing to do and that"s work hard. And in the end, it was Obama who made the connection with the people; And in the end it was Roland Burris was rejected 5 times for higher office because of his inability to connect with the people; And in the end it will be Roland Burris who gives up his dignity and honor in exchange for the support and hand out of a corrupt Governor.
That is why you have so much admiration for Roland Burris because he couldn"t win an election based on his own merits but because he knew how to cheat the system to get into an office that he would have otherwise been rejected for.

I am sorry I won't and can't ease up; I know you want to protect your girls and that"s your choice; But I supported Obama for the very beginning and I watched how he wasn't even accepted into the Black Community because he wasn"t black enough but it wasn't until he started winning when people wanted to get on board.
Gladys and Freedom say accept Burris because he is Black I find that simply amazing when Obama didn't gain that type of support until he won which Burris seem unable to do but he should be accepted any way because of the color of his skin; I don"t thinks so.

The electorate chose Blago -- what does it say about the electorate? Obama supported Burris in the primary between Blago and Burris.
I came to know of P.E.Obama when he gave the keynote address for Kerry ... in the very beginning as Hillary announced, being ready to support a female, I thought in my mind that I'd support her ! The very first time that I had the opportunity to hear P.E. which was very early, I knew he was my choice ... immediately ! I worked like an Egyptian slave here in my State during the primaries until the day of the election !
When I heard P.E.Obama say that Burris was a good man and that he would work with him as he will any other senator ... that including the fact that Burris is legally appointed causes me to close the case ! That's "MY" story and I'm stickin' to it .... 'cause it's the truth !!!
Curently there is no vacant Senate seat according to the Illinois Supreme Court. In their ruling issue Friday, they affirmed the Governor's appointment of Mr Burress to be legal and complete
according to Illinois law.

State governments do not have ultimate say in who is seated in the US Senate. The US Senate does. Please read the United States Constitution, Article I, section 5.
Mr. Burris is NOT Senator until such time as the US Senate decides to seat him. Mr. Burris may falsely claim to be senator, but he is only an appointee at this time.

Let me ask you this question to all your qualification what eve they may be, after seeing this bizarre new conference that the governor had out in Illinois on Friday when he recited poetry and put a group of handi capp people on the stage in an effort to argue that the legislature there was trying to block him from helping those people; after federal prosecutors had accuse him of trying to sell that seat to the highest bidder how can you accept such an appointment from such a person and expect people to take you seriously or not question your character.
