I Like ItI Don’t Like It

BYD will be showing of the world's first production plug-in vehicle, and whil it won't be available in the U.S. until 2011, it's pretty impressive that China managed to beat both the U.S. and Japan to the punch on plug-in hybrids.

Fisker, will be unveiling it's production plug-in Karma. The car, which made a huge splash last year in concept form, is like a cheaper, more practical, more beautiful Telsa Roadster.

Toyota will be unveiling the 2010 Prius, which, according to reports, will be restyled, larger and have better gas mileage than ithe current version. They'll also be discussing the plug-in Prius, and an all-electric car (the FT-EV) based on the iQ.

I want to buy an American union-made care that is fuel efficient or battery run or whatever. I will wait. I think we all ought to be thinking of supporting the big 3 in the future,,,,forget about the cars made in Korea, or Japan or China...or those made here by non-union workers. If we do not support our own manufacturing sector, we are only hurting ourselves.

The new Insight and the new Prius will make a real change. Hybridized versions of well established model lines will have an effect. That's pretty much it.

Please help with the economic and global problems created by oil company greed and the resulting pollution caused by the use of this resource. A far better solution than an electric Hybrid is available.

There is a car that is getting ready for mass production. It runs on AIR. That's correct, AIR! This car needs to be brought to America. It is manufactured by MDI in France. It is referred to as the Air Car.

The car does not run on air. It uses compressed air as a storage medium, which is a storage methid with really poor thermodynamic efficiency.

The pistons are "fired" by compressed air.
