Winehouse has dropped her appeal in a Norwegian drugs case and will accept her fine for illegal possession of marijuana in 2007, her Norwegian attorney told The AP on Tuesday Jan. 6, 2009. Winehouse and Fielder-Civil, were arrested during a concert stop in the western city of Bergen in October 2007 on charges of possessing 7 grams (1/4-ounce) of marijuana. LONDON — A lawyer for Amy Winehouse's jailed husband says his client will be seeking a divorce on the grounds of the soul diva's alleged infidelity.

Attorney Henri Brandman said Monday that he had been instructed by Blake Fielder-Civil "to commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy's adultery."

Winehouse and Fielder-Civil married in Miami in May 2007, but he was arrested six months later over an assault. In July he was sentenced to 27 months in jail for beating up a bar manager and then offering him a bribe to keep quiet about it.

Fielder-Civil was released into a drug rehab center in November but sent back to prison weeks later for breaching his bail conditions.

Winehouse shot to stardom with the multi-Grammy-winning album "Back to Black" in 2006 and has a fortune estimated by the Sunday Times at 10 million pounds ($15 million). But her music has been overshadowed by reports of drug use, run-ins with the law and her tempestuous marriage.

During concert appearances last year, Winehouse often exhorted fans to call for the release of "my Blake." But she has been linked by tabloid newspapers to other men and recently has been photographed on holiday in the Caribbean with an alleged new beau, Josh Bowman.

Winehouse's spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

This loser meets her, gets her hooked on hard drugs (he's admitted to this), then he goes to jail and now he's mad at her?????! This is Amy's best chance to get herself together - I hope it doesn't cost her millions (like it did for McCartney and Madonna), but it probably will.

Ex-addict here.
Rational Recovery = teaches that only you have the power to stop. No one forces your hand to pick up the substance.
12-steps = teaches that you have a disease (not your fault) that needs constant attention.

Amy alone will kick her habit or not. Environment plays a part, but it's a matter of having your will-POWER be stronger than anything on Earth.
I wish her luck, & hope she makes more music.

That's 12-step lingo = I'll always be an addict. I don't believe that.
In my life, I was an addict, & am not now.
Thanks for your input.

now seriously... is Amy Whinehouse really a woman? at times she/he looks pretty good, other times Really really bad, nasty, gross, and honestly looks like a dude in drag with implants.
is it true she/he's a woman and not a man?

I think someone needs to sit her down and show her the pictures that Papparazzi have taken of her. I don't really know Winehouse or her music, but I feel she has the potential to do so much better for herself.

Do yourself a big favor and listen to some of her music. Her voice is amazing.

Let me assure all of you, from personal experience: When you are married to someone who's a substance abuser two things are immutably true:

First, there's 3 parties in the marriage - you, your partner and the substance. Second, you are GUARANTEED to lose out to the relationship between your partner and the substance!

The new boyfriend is the symptom. The substance abuse is the disease. When someone won't clean up their act because their partner asks them to, they go find someone who is willing to share their "affection" for their substance of choice.

I lost out to cocaine in a marriage with the love of my life.

you should do speeches at schools to pound in the emotional message of pain from drugs.

I hope it's true that she is off drugs. And she should get out of that marriage. The two of them were huge addicts together. She needs to get healthy!
