On Sunday night the world took a break from wondering what Michelle Obama will wear to the inauguration, and returned to doing what our culture does best: scrutinize red carpet fashion. As usual, the Golden Globes gave us a chance to ponder the good, the bad, and the very, very bad. Here are a few themes we identified.

Right after the Golden Globe winners are announced the speculation about the Oscar nominees begins to take a new toll. In most cases the Golden Globe winners match up with the eventual Oscar winners.

I just think it's amusing how some people act as though JLO invented big bxtts. I live in South Florida and trust me plenty of women have it down here. The woman is past her prime.

I think Anne Hathaway is beautiful just the way she is. She is a beautiful pale woman. I like her paleness with her brunette hair. It is very hard for fair women like her to try to look tan, so I'm glad she is content with her color.

Jennifer's body is perfect. She doesn't need to be anorexic like the rest of them. She can still pull that dress off. She is not old. Since when did 39 become old? I just didn't like the color, it was too flashy. But her body looks fine. In fact that is what makes her look sexy. The fact that she isn't too thin like many of them.

Wow, JLo is really way too old to pull that dress off again. Her back is out of shape; it had folds.
And Anne Hathaway's color is natural. She was born with it, and doesn't seem interested in spending time in tanning booths or spray tanneries. She will also likely not suffer wrinkles and skin cancer like many of her pale peers who spend hours in the sun. (Odd, would any of you call another person "too black" or "too yellow"?)

It would be hard to tell since 99% of the women who work in Hollywood are not black or yellow. Just look at the pictures above for an example.

I agree. Leo is so talented and handsome. I love him. I wish he would have won with Blood Diamond. I loved that movie. He has the most beautiful eyes. I'm going to see Revolutionary Road. I always go see his movies. He is so smart and he is always caring about the environment.

JLo needs to stop being so shallow and try to do something that will get the people's respect. With her little stupid movies, she is showing the world that all she wants is to make money. I did like Bordertown. She can be a good actress,and she is beautiful and fun to watch, but she is too wrapped up in making money. I admire her because she is a puerto rican woman and she is a strong and successful, but she needs to get in touch with her roots again. Because I can see that many people have lost interest in her.

Kate Winslet is gorgeous and so talented. She seems like a real person-not one of those petty superficial wanna-be stars like some of the younger snots.

I like Jlo but she is so 10 years ago. She hasn't made any movies or cd's. Why so much attention? I think it's about time Leonardo DiCaprio started winning some well deserved awards!!!!!

Jennifer looked good. I just didn't like the dress. It was too flashy. If the dress would have been another color she would have looked very beautiful. I liked her hair. Last year it was too big. And even though she's flashy, she is always fun to watch. Beonce who has the potential to be the prettiest one of all, seems to always pick the wrong dress. She needs to be a little more modern. She is still in her twenties.
I wish she would dress a little younger. She is so beautiful but always wears these tacky dresses.
