WASHINGTON — The State Department is arranging the evacuation of about 150 Americans and their non-American family members who have been trapped in Gaza during Israel's military operations against Hamas militants there.

"The department, the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv and the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem are taking the necessary steps to help them depart as soon as arrangements can be made for their safe travel," spokesman Gordon Duguid said Monday. He said those concerned had all asked for assistance.

So far, the department has evacuated 27 people, 16 Americans and 11 non-American family members, from Gaza since the fighting began on Dec. 27. They were taken by convoy to Amman, Jordan on Jan. 2.

The Council on American Islamic Relations said Monday that the Beit Hanoun home of two American children aged 3 and 6 had been hit by Israeli fire over the weekend and urged the department to take immediate action to assist U.S. citizens trapped by the fighting.

It's not about Israelis or Palestinians, I have friends of both heritages, I love them dearly...I want them both to have a homeland, I know what it's like to feel like you don't have one, and I know how far people will go to defend their families...however the fears of both sides are being played off eachother...what this is about has more to do with sowing the seeds of chaos which negative entities for demons to feed off energy...sounds ridiculous I know, but there is a truth in this metaphor...a global dictatorship will only create a utopia for an isolated organism...we are integrated organisms which require eachother to maintain homeostasis or stability...the answer isn't population reduction or martial law (which only hands more power over to such entities), but creating a vibration for peace.

This documentary is full of errors and hardly any of it is true anymore, however it shows how intelligent people can be extremely religious about their predictions for the future, parts of the Iranian clergy work hand in hand with Israel to bring forth a staged WWII style conflict...these are enemies of humanity...not the people themselves, in fact they aren't anything more than normal humans, but the entities which they ritually allow into their psycho-spiritual organism...we are waging a metaphysical battle which can only be resolved through love...we're probably talking a battle at least as old as the cosmos itself.

God Bless Every Jew, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist...and peace loving religious sciences...humanity is one...superficial differences have distracted us from a deeper interconnectiveness...do not shutup and stand on the sidelines (ahem; Bush senior)...but try understanding the bigger picture in which this is all taking place.

Why is it full of errors, the documentary? I need a short and non-rambling answer.

USA politicians should learn some respect from their UK counterparts, instead of dancing to the tunes of AIPAC...

Why don't we send the Senate over to Gaza to cheer for Israel?. They might change their unanimous support.

It may be an idea to send the Senate over to Gaza and place them inside of a civilian home. It may give them a different perspective on things...

I always hear that Hamas and other Islamic factions are at war with Israeli's and sometimes "the West."
Yet time and time again they whine about causalties and the death of innocents. What war is not this way, if you say you are war and pursue that activity, what do they expect to get in return? They are not saying a "limited war" or we go war if we feel like it. That is ancient way to think about war that no one will recognize in the modern world. War is war.
Don't complain about it.
