Via Think Progress, Krauthammer later appeared on Fox News with this gem of a reference to the Iraqi shoe-throwing journalist Muntadhir Al-Zaidi: "[Bush] took a shoe for the country, a bullet for the country."

Krauthammer is one twisted puppy. In my young heady Reagan Republican youth I used to read ol Chuck and think he was the bee's knees. Of course I grew up and saw the world for what it really is, not what Republican wet dreams want it to be. Unfortunately, Chuck never took the opportunity to grow up mentally. His dogged clinging to right-wing BS, even in the face of repeated direct evidence to the contrary, has withered him into the bitter old man he is today.
