"Hannity" Debuts Strong In The Ratings

Sean Hannity's solo career got off to a strong start Monday night, easily maintaining the 9PM top spot that he enjoyed while hosting "Hannity & Colmes."

"Hannity" debuted Monday night with an average of 2.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. That's more than his two 9PM competitors, Rachel Maddow (1.4 million) and Larry King (945,000), combined.

Ratings were similar in the Adults 25-54 demographic. "Hannity" drew an average of 720,000 A25-54, while Maddow averaged 466,000 A25-54 and King averaged 331,000 A25-54.

"Hannity & Colmes" averaged 2.3 million total viewers and 505,000 A25-54 in the month of December.

Help save & secure our nation by boycotting the Fox Network. Do this in the name of justice, since it's known fact they were the mouth piece for the outgoing administration. Because of the likes of Bill O'Reilly & Sean Hannity, many of "US" believe we need a national boycott of the Fox network.

Since "We The People" probably won't be seeing charges filed against anyone in the Bush administration, maybe the Fox Network should get their just reward? To be fair & balanced we need an elimination of the "spin" masters & perpetrators who stood with the past administration & the man who should go down in history for what he really was. I watched the old show just for colmes but will not be watching now all he does is attack obama and this was before today when the became the president so you can guess what he will be like now

So Hannity's ratings were strong without their in house pet liberal? Maybe they need a different liberal to talk down to. Like Thom Hartman? Thom would rip Hannity a new one every show - and talk about balanced; Hannity with his distortions and lies vs Thom with his facts and truth. Aint gonna happen but it sure would legitimize Fox Noise to some extent.

I am one of he those that watch Fox, but I cannot stand Hannity. He doesn't do interviews..he does monologues..and he IS NOT fair and balanced..which I find obnoxious.

Some of his "audience" included liberals who curious to see what his new show would be like. His ratings will taper off.

I remember Rachel Maddow was getting close to 2 million when her show debuted. New shows always get a boost for first couple of weeks.

Well if you really think about it, I mean really think about it, most people who don't lean conservative split their viewership between CNN and MSNBC, so if you combined all liberals together their market shares would more than likely eclipse those of Fox. Non conservatives happen to have more than ONE outlet for information.

I'm right of center and split my viewing when it comes to news. Though I like FOX I find it informative to get news from other sources. Often I get different tidbits that one of the other channels didn't report. That's why I come here, to get a different point of view on topics. Go ahead, hate on me. I'm not the most political person but I do realize there are two sides to everything so why not partake in both.

There are good people on both sides, for me it's the fanatics that get to me at times and yes that even includes Hannity.
