Whoopi Has A Cow Over Imus Cattle Named After Barbara Walters, Rosie O'Donnell (VIDEO)

Deirdre Imus appeared on "The View" Tuesday morning to discuss her new book, The Essential Green You!. While on the show, she revealed that she and her husband, radio host Don Imus, have named the cows on their famous ranch after female media celebrities.

"Ten years ago when we started the ranch, we named our various Texas longhorn cattle, and one was named Barabra Walters," she explained. "We named several. We have Mary Matalin, Andrea Mitchell, Judy Woodruff."

Whoopi spit her food out when Imus announced that the Barbara Walters cow now has a great-granddaughter that they've named Rosie.

"My husband named her!" Imus said.

"May I suggest, if my cow has another calf, she be named Whoopi?" Barbara asked.

Whoopi said she'd rather be a chicken.

"I've been an ass all my life," she said. "But Whoopi as a chicken is better."

I was thinking the same thing. Not so sure milking a Longhorn is a good idea. Herefords are more often milk cows. Longhorns are typically for beef. Someone correct my assumptions if they are wrong.

Just a guess--maybe tax credits for raising cattle? Not likely that it's good farm land, so maybe raising cattle helps with $$$ to run place. Also, it doesn't say "working cattle ranch" anywhere above. Maybe they have just a few to add atmosphere for the kids.

She gave us issues and matters to google that opened many cans of worms. I don't watch the show anymore myself due to most of it being boring, now, but especially because of the way Rosie & truth were butted out. But I sure do enjoy these tid bits. Can't believe I missed the mean and nasty Ann Coulter who was on yesterday. I wanted to see her on that show for a long time and never thought she'd have the guts to appear. She seemed human for a change and not her old self though. Anyway, many are glad to hear what they're saying and still watch the show. I bet their ratings have seriously dropped though since they lost one of our greatest patriots of truth, Rosie. Too bad for "The View." They had a good thing going but chose to give her a very hard time & stifle her! They actually coached Elisabeth H. with talking points and had it in for Rosie & she knew it.

Yes, Rosie always told the truth (according to her views or opinions, at least) and might still be on "The View" if she'd been better able to control her temper and been less combative. It seems she had zero tolerance for opinions or ideologies that differed from hers.
