I Like ItI Don’t Like It

In an interview with "Larry King" Tuesday night, President Bush said he was a fan of his successor.

Asked by King if he liked Obama, Bush replied, "I do. I do like him. You'd like him, too."

But Laura Bush said she took some of Obama's critiques of her husband personally.

"Were you angry at it?" King asked.

"Yes, sort of. George didn't really even know about it because he didn't really watch it that much," Laura Bush said, laughing.

Watch:

Bush also said that "during the course of this presidency, I've been disappointed at times by the silly name-calling that goes on in Washington -- it's really not necessary."

laura admitted what we all know to be true, is that bush makes a point of not caring to know what goes on outside in the world... we know he doesn't read newspapers too, so it looks like he depends on others for his information or as he what he refers to as his daily "briefings"...aside from obama taking his oath and all the parts of the inauguation, my favorite part was seeing that helicoptor lift off and head to edwards airforce base...good bye and good riddance...

It is so silly that folks in the last Bush days can't give him a few kudos for trying to be the good man that he really wanted to be. Often times it's the family members who are most critical of the President than the voting people. I saw more of Laura in the tabloids that appeared to be her telling the world how she herself, didn't like Bush, Yet she tried to convey to the public via LK show, that she was SORTA upset with Obama for saying what he did about Bush. That's the laundry that will stick with many folks. SO. It's the campaign game...In the end, love prevails, or it should. I felt sorry for the President, because We only know What he did, and didn't do. We really don't know WHY his Presidential world turned upside down and his dreams spilled about. I believe He doesn't know How things happened either. It appears some truth about many failing celebrities. When these folks appear to be engrossed in the title that creates the star in their crown, They fail to see, understand, or stand a chance to enjoy the glory that also, comes with the Crown, for those hairy scary acts that come with grandstanding for friends & friendship. No, Bush won't be given a chance to redo his acts, but, He can write a book about it. Then maybe more folks will like him, too.

I think you give him too much credit . . . his lack of intellectual interest in world affairs, economics and welfare of working people is exceeded only by the effort he made to envision himself a "leader of worth" . . . he governed from the "gut" and neglected the very basic needs of people outside his greedy circle of cronies . . . and this weak toady was a ready pawn in the NeoCONS game . . . a victim of his own shallow mind.

What is there to like unless you profited from his "decidin"? He sure didn't progress any "conservative" goals and certainly destroyed our Justice Department, Diplomatic Corps, Treasury and eased us into a economic disaster of yet to be discovered misery . . . . not much "to like".

Being able to act like a good guy, or even believing you are, doesn't make you one. Bush's presidential world didn't "turn upside down" on him--it was always upside down, because that's how he deliberately dropped the buttered toast.

At best, Bush is some rube of the sort who listens to people like Rush Limbaugh on the radio and gets all fired up with "gut ideas", with the unfortunate difference that he took it further and managed to get into public office, with the help of his "friends". Other useless motivations for his pursuit of the White House, were probably to see if he could do it, and to make Mom and Dad proud.

The more people know about Bush (honest facts, not just some self-serving book), the fewer will like him. That's the direction shown by the polls. No book of his will change that, though it may reinforce "warm feelings" in people who will always agree with him.

Bush has no choice but to like Obama. After all, he is an American like everybody else and the overwhelming majority of Americans love Obama.

maybe...just maybe the fact that the this PO=TUS is an im=moral, lie=ing, cheat=ing, murd=ering, war crim=inal has finally got through to a majority of Am=ericans. Now if they can just realizes that just about every PO=TUS has been the same and that future PO=TUSs are not pro=mising we may make some pro=gress.

Yeah, when this history making dude coming into office is crying his eyes out on his wife's shoulder, from the presser and the name calling. He will know what's like to throw a stone and get hit with it.

He is in for a real eyer opener. He'll be smoking 3 packs a day.

Laura,

Face it. Your husband is the one who brought America crashing down. Take your blinders off and finally see that.

Explains the retaliatory action in denying the Obamas and their young children permission to settle in early at the Blair house. Quite petty, especially for Laura Bush, whom I have always admired despite the missteps of her husband.

Absolutely, for Mrs. Bush to have married and remain married to this jack*ss means she can't be much better. The decision to not accommodate the Obama's daughter's school schedule was absoluletly appalling and tacky. Shame, shame, shame Laura.
