Its gonna be cold and miserable but as Trace Chapman sings "Let it Rain"
I am not missing it. You betcha!
Now it's 5 days 16 hours and 16 minutes. Do I sound pathetically eager?
Reminds me, You, Mr. President have been saying thank you over and over again...We've been so excited we have forgotten to say Thank You, Mr. and Mrs. President, and your little girls .
And tom mark this historic occasion, hortonhearsawho writes 2 lines.

That sounds even better. I'm coming to your house.
I took a vacation day from work. I plan to stay home and try Obama's chili recipe. I think there is going to be plenty of television coverage for me to thoroughly enjoy myself.
Oh, and I bought a big box of tissues because I know I am going to cry as President Obama is sworn in. Happy days are here again!!!
lol I'm just going to hang over a bucket and let the water flow.
And I'll be at home, too. My husband may try to take the day, too so we can have a glass of champagne and some arugula salad. I'd make that shaved ice Obama is so fond of, but it's going to be so cold that day. Might freeze my tears. :-)
Its cold out here in DC, you guys. Be prepared.
My friend from NY is planning to bring her students with her to the inauguration. I hope she finds a place to park the school bus…I warned her
Send her the link in WaPo to
Inauguration Central from washingtonpost.com
Thanks
lol
As long as you watch it while doing donuts in a protected wildlife area, you're good to go!
lol
Oooh, it's gonna be cold, it's gonna be crowded. You're going to stand in line for restaurants, for the "facilities" for this, that and everything. You won't see anybody whose anybody and certainly not BHO. You won't see near what you will see on the TeeeVeee.
The comfort factor on a scale of 1-10 will be minus 5 and I'm gonna be there.
It'll be a blast!
It always feels bone chillin cold on inauguration day- regardless of the actual temperature. And this year it actually will be really cold- so wear your warmest underoos.
I'll be trying to hike in from Arlington Cemetery if I get that far. Getting out is going to be the key. Don't count on Metro to get you back out- it can only handle less than 1 million riders in an 8 hour period- and that is if trains don't break down.
Good luck- and I will be shivering there with you!
I agree!! It will be cold, crowded, chaotic, insane and I wouldn't miss it for the world!! the only thing I haven't figured out yet is when I'm going to sleep!!! It's going to be unbelievable!!
But I'm sure not going to drink any coffee Tuesday morning!! LOL
I'm so excited I can't stand it. I'm taking a vacation day from work so I won't miss a single moment.
God speed President-elect Obama!
I took off a day of UNPAID time to watch. I am going to watch ALL DAY & NIGHT (from home, but it will be absolutely wonderful and so refreshing!) Go USA -- being smart never looked so good.
Don't do it!
I STILL feel a twinge of excitement, hope and satisfaction every time I see the car ahead of me with Obama's name or face looking back at me!
I was just listening to an old Diana Ross and the Supremes song "The Happening".
I think it would be a great choice to be played next Tuesday at the after party!
"The Happening" is Obama!
How do I push this forward?
Take a look...
