Jokes

Tuesday's late-night hosts spent a lot of time dissecting President Bush's final press conference. Once they got past that, there were jokes about Jamie Lynn Spears, Russia, and even some weather humor.

From Letterman on Bush:

"He admitted, it takes a big man to do this - that a couple of things didn't go according to plan. A couple of things went haywire.

"Yeah, his first term and his second term."

That and more below.

See Monday's jokes here

It doesn't show up in IE, but Firefox and Safari work fine. It's called HTML standards for cross-platforms which I suppose is something the IT guys need to work on.

It's called update your old version of IE and make sure flash is installed. DERRRRR

Just reinstalled the most current flash, have the most current IE, restart, still nada... yay firefox

True, not that I've run this web page through a HTML validator, but HuffPo and other media websites need to stick to proper HTML standards. This page worked for me in Firefox, but doesn't work in MSIE. However, sometimes certain embedded video clips on HuffPo don't work in Firefox but are OK in MSIE.

IE is a thing of the past. I haven't used it for 3 years, Firefox IS better.

Wow, I'm better than a hu.ffpo web designer when it comes to posting video on a website. Now that I'm thinking about it, not really a great accomplishment...

Well I think it's just wonderful that Huffpo lets us imagine the late night jokes.

It's much better than actually watching them. Besides, some of the jokes that I make up in my head are MUCH FUNNIER than watching that silly old Johnny Carson.

Thanks again HUFFPO!!!!

Bush looks and sounds drunk.

I showed this clip to my wife.

At first she thought the clip of Bush rambling on about landing the plane was some kind of satire comedy routine. Unfortunately, the entire Bush administration has been a s!ck j0ke.

Reloaded the page 6 times, no video. Opened it in Firefox, video came up on the first try...

Microsoft Explorer has issues again?
10:54 PM on 01/14/2009
Thanks for pointing that out. No video was showing there, then I tried it thru firefox and voila!. Wot's the deal?

Ha Ha for a post that healines a video that ain't there. Nothing to see here folks, move along.

This site has become a nightmare to navigate through and of all political sites I visit, HP takes the longest time to load.

The HP web-designers must be s..hot.

You're right, HP's layout is miserable. My whole screen is taken up by the header, ads, and the three inch tall main story. It's like the Reader's Digest big print version for the web.

Uh you dont know computers much if you think the layout of your browser is created by HP. That is your computer model, not the application you surf the internet with.
Either you are running Mozilla, Safari (Apple's browser) , Netscape, Internet Explorer, or Firefox.

Increase your screen resolution from 800x600 to something like 1024x768

Guess the HP web designers forgot both the user and the friendly by acting too smart. Dkos has the best layout, easiest to post and to look for one's posts.

And all the so-called moderation based on non-pc words here is c..rappy too. Just look what I posted.

I browse with Google Chrome.

No problems even on my old laptop and Yahoo DSL.

This is the 23/6 video player and sometimes it doesn't play at all. Where's youtube when you need it?
