Pantyhose look good on me and I would not wear a shorter skirt without them, but they are a pain to put on. They are expensive and very fragile. All it takes is a thumb in the wrong place at the wrong time or a slightly rough cuticle and they are trashed. I have long legs and a truly comfortable pair can be hard to find.

Tights are fun. Sure they're a hassle for everyday wear. But under short skirts in cooler weather, or to add playful color or patterns... My legs feel like dancing! And if you're worried about runs and snags, try HoiseryMate - it works wonders.

OK, so I have a question for all the women here who claim they haven't worn pantyhose (or tights, as we call them over here) in years. What on earth do you wear with skirts, when it's not a warm day?!

None of us like them, but they ARE better than freezing to death (and don't talk to me about thigh-high stockings - too much risk of disaster on even a normally active day!).

My solution has been thigh high stockings! They are the best. The nice thing is that if you run one of the stockings, you can save at least one of them, you don't have to throw out the whole thing.

plus it doesn't make you feel like constricted like regular pantyhose.

Pantyhose, like other hateful and hurtful fashions (stiletto heels come to mind) I think were invented by men who don't like women. Isn't it interesting that High Fashion usually involves something that restrains or constrains women....corsettes, girdles, painful high heels, tight uncomfortable clothing, fabrics that don't breathe....Sisters! Free yourselves From Fashion Victimhood! Clothing doesn't have to be uncomfortable or trashy to enhance one's own beauty. Some of the most beautiful clothing can be both modest and comfortable as well as elegant and CLASSY with out making us feel like sausages or like call girls on parade!

Like most on this post I dislike panty hose usualy they roll down creating a muffin top as well as an extra croutch. I haven't worn a pair in years. however i do like to throw on thigh highs with a garter or the ones with the seam down the back of the leg every now and a gain

She's a woman after my own heart. I, too, have long legs and pantyhose are a royal pain. Of course, with some of the shorter or Euro length skirts I have to wear them.

Gawd, tell me one woman that doesn't hate pantyhose. While they hide a multitude of errors, they cause just as many new ones, and are mucho uncomfortable to boot. No matter what I spend, I either have a crotch hanging in the middle of my thighs, or a pair that can be pulled up to my lower lip! Ugh!
