I Like ItI Don’t Like It

A man who was onboard the US Air flight that went down in New Yorks' Hudson River Thursday spoke to media shortly after being rescued, memorably telling interviewers he was "scared as shit" as the plane was going down.

After his interview, as he was attempting to leave the scene, he was asked two very different questions (by two different people):

1. "Jeff, do you need to go to the hospital? Are you alright?"
2. "Jeff, are you interested in appearing on The Rachel Maddow Show tonight?"

Watch (video courtesy CNN):

Ah, the "integrity" of the liberal media! They smell blood in the water and they start circling!

Producers of TV shows & those who work with producers are most enterprising people. They are constantly searching for people with an interesting story to appear on the program which they produce. Landing an A 320 on the Hudson with no deaths is an interesting event. Rachel is one of the better interviewers in the business. There are producers who would die to work for & with Rachel. New Yorkers aren't known for being laid back or subtle.

No discussions about Olbermann in days...everytime I bring up his name on campus, peole make fun of me...can't mention him without losing cool points...KO's ratings trend shows him losing to Rachel now...how long before we see him opening for Mahr on HBO?

I rather be on Bill O'Reilly so he can get Fox Security after me.

I saw it live on CNN and had to laugh then tweet about it. It really was a behid the scenes moment that just show how desperate the press can be for a scoop.

Yes, and those scoops are what keep you watching CNN, or whatever you watch. If they didn't do that, you would quickly find them irrelevant, So before you call them desperate, ask yourself who drives the demand.

That's how tacky MSNBC is and how hard it is to get any guests for Maddow...at least those who don't regurgitate and affirm her talking points...

WHY MSNBC sucks...I love that I don't even get it on my TV service anymore...don't miss it at all...

Oh little spoiled sport...any of this victim in your face mics is obscene, but Rachel Maddow has very good and very intelligent knowledgable guests. My guess is that you have Faux News 24/7.

ya, a little better than the media hit men that are sent out by O'Reilly to trap the unsuspecting into an interview usually with questions like "How long have has it been since you beat your wife?" or similar

And how many lawyers were present in the emergency rooms in NY & NJ an hour after the victims were transported ??

This is nothing new after any catastrophe.

There definitely is a sharp contrast between Olbermann and Maddow.
I enjoy both of them and I think there is room for them both.

Rachel is lighthearted, without pulling any punches.
She does a great job and i am definitely in her following.
She makes a few too many speaking errors, or "fluffs her lines".

Olbermann is factually and verbally accurate, but he is often
acerbic, vehement, and vitriolic, literally spitting out his words.
He has, however spat those words out at people who rightly deserved that.

Just because this is the first time (presumably) this sort of thing was caught on tape, don't be so naive to think it doesn't happen all the time. How do you think shows get these people on? You think they give them a couple days to think about it?

This is not news.

Yes, how many times have we seen "how do you feel now that your loved one was killed"..blah blah blah. There ought to be a moratorium on this invasion of private moments.

What's the point? Don't be naive, CNN, CBS, ABC, FOX all do it in the middle of catastrophes and disasters, not all are caught on tape.

Liberal media smell blood in the water and automatically send out the sycophants to search for the wounded to exploit.
