I Like ItI Don’t Like It

One of the best recurring segments on Letterman over the last few years has been "Great Moments in Presidential Speeches," which have had a field day with President Bush's not infrequent verbal shortcomings in terms of delivery, pronunciation and coherence. On Friday, January 16, Letterman aired the segment's final installment, which he had been counting downcounting down to all week.

In honor of the momentous occasion Letterman delivered not only one final 'great moment' but a whole montage of the best--and therefore worst--moments from Bush's speeches.

THE FINAL GREAT MOMENT

THE MONTAGE

Poor Obama. With his stutter there will be four years of these bloopers haunting him also.

American voters elected Bush president. Twice. So laugh at Bush and extol Obama's virtues, but the biggest fools are the American voters over and over again.

The ones who did not vote for Bush are allowed to laugh as much as we like. We weren't the fools.. and also, we've earned the right to laugh after what he put us through.

Honestly, I had to stop halfway though the montage. It surpassed my threshold of pain.

This is a great way to commemorate the end of this fool's Presidency.

I got a Brazillion to celebrate no more Bush.

It is painfully obvious that this man/child was way over his head. I’m not sure there is any job out there that wouldn’t be over his head and above his pay grade. It is so refreshing, and inspiring to have someone like Obama moving into the people’s house.

If I ever see bush juniors face again it’ll be too soon.

No kidding...wow. I realized that by the end of that video my jaw was just hanging open: Shock. Dismay. Embarrassment. Tomorrow can't come soon enough...

5 minutes of hilarious inarticulate nonsense.
i'm actually gonna miss it. it was like watching a foghorn leghorn cartoon.

letterman is a comic GOD to me, and the clips were wonderful, but they left out a lot of BIG DOOZIES.

(the "gynocologists practicing their love with women" clip has always been my personal favorite).

Oh, I know! And he left out that one dance routine Bush did, too. But still a great montage.

When he does that Hyeck, hyeck thing through his nose, he reminds me of Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin (Danny Devito) in Batman.
Let us laugh at him, for he is indeed a fool. Then let us remember, he ought to be weighed against his acts --- potential High Crimes and Misdemeanors. Let us "give to Cesar, that which is Caesar's." The History which he says will be his judge and the eventual fate of Saddam Hussein, with Dick Cheney for Company.

Unfortunately, the most.....fitting?.......honest?.........farewell clip from the frat-boy-in-chief wouldn't even contain any words. I'd nominate the clip from a couple of years back when; ...during the sound/light check prior to an address from the oval office........Shrub looked right into the camera and flipped the bird....remember that???

At the time I thought " I know he was just having a little fun with the camera crew....but I got the creeepy feeling he was flipping ME.....and everbody else in the country the "finger".

Sigh....we now know that was in fact the case...from day one!

Hail to the chief

One of the nicer things that can happen to commercial TV is when Letterman retires. Nothing worthwhile is every presented on this tour de farce.

The only good news for Texas is that this dude was "educated" out of state.

If Ronald Reagan was The Great Communicator, this guy would be.......

One would think the stutter problem would have been addressed when he was a child.

And, finally, thank the Lord its over.

Oh these are hilarious; these are classics! Hell, I think I might actually miss this!

Yet it is going to be nice that after tomorrow for a change we're finally going to have a president whose articulate, knows what he's talking about, and can make it through a simple sentence without sounding like a complete idiot...

Maybe bush can go on stage and do the Wizard of Oz "If I only had a brain!" Though I can't imagine the scarecrow having that nasty, snide smirk of his.
