It's going to be interesting to see how the daughters turn out. If Obama serves two terms, they'll be, what, 18 and 15? Something like that. The Obamas have protected them from too much media exposure, but not the same extent the Clintons shielded Chelsea. Whatever paths they choose for their life/career they're going to do it with the nation watching them.

More to the point if A-Stan goes south on him or another war springs up will the left ask everyday why aren't your kids in the military like they did to Bush. My guess is they won't.

Will they ask the Obama's if their kids will join the military if the US is still at war?

I suppose you asked the same question of Mitt Romney whose FIVE SONS are all of military enlistment age but are not in the military. I suppose you have forgotten the answer Romney gave when asked why they had not enlisted?

"They are helping me become president".

Republican chickenhawk values at their best.

So we should plan to ask why a 15 year old isn't in the army? I don't think so. These are Bush's wars. Thank God we have someone of Obama's caliber willing to step up and lead. Finally we can look forward to a presidency that values competency over cronyism.

Weegee (my favorite photographer) would go to a fire and while all the other photogs were taking pictures of the flames, he would take pictures of the fire's victims watching their homes burn. That seems to be what Malia is doing. While the media focuses on her Dad, she seems to be focusing on the people who came to see him. It's a whole different perspective. I would LOVE to see a book of her photographs... :-)

how events make fools of others. when black voters was denied the right to vote. end with the first american black president being voted in office. also.... could do a better job too. she has good reason to be very proud of her father.

That's really smart of her, for she will remember this day for the rest of her life.

It's simply sweet and cute Mr. Mean. Something we haven't seen in a while so go back into your hole.

I think we've run out of news. The plane landed safely, the train's arrived, Bush is packed up, the Gaza war may be ending .. there's not much going on to report about I guess. Where's real news when you need it

Sasha and Malia are growing into nice young women. Both Barack and Michelle are doing a great job.

Probably Malia is taking pics for her school project or journal...Though she is the daughter of our President, she is still a school student attending 5th grade and she got to do the school work..
