I doubt this will save the newspaper industry. But, in desperation to save their papers, I suspect newspapers willbe trying to bash Obama at every given moment just to stir up controversy and to stay relevant.

There is nothing that can be done to save the newspaper industry. Look at the San Francisco Chronicle, why not lay off Frank Vega? I'm sure he makes way more than my $17 an hour as customer service. All of ours jobs were outsourced the the Phillipinines 3 weeks ago, so when you complain of a missed ppr, they have no idea if what the weather is like. I think it's a crime to outsource US jobs to India, Phillipines - wherever.

The Times if offering a November 5th and January 21st with a subscription.

I read it online...but subscribed again, anyway. I live in Upstate NY. I don't think I can get up early enough to beat the folks who will buy ALL the papers like they did on November 4th. I ended up having to get a Times off Ebay...Not this time.
