I Like ItI Don’t Like It

President Obama's Chief Of Staff Rahm Emanuel was seated on stage for the president's inauguration and though he was a few rows back those who were watching may have noticed his grinning face poking out into the aisle. Rahm seemed to be having a good time in general today. Here are a few shots of the new White House chief of staff on the day celebrating his new boss' rise to power.

I think Rahm has a fascinating background. Rahm is very talented and helped the Dems to reach their majority. He is much brighter than the average Representative and an asset to the Democrats.

Who is Rahm's father, what is his background? Look it up! You will be surprised...

Would you wanted to be judged and compared to your father's actions?

I just want ot know who he was giving the raspberry to. It's kind of refreshing to have a character in the new administration after all those boring neo-cons.

very refreshing???.and this is the person that will help lead our country for the next 4 years. This is not kindergarten and I would think that after all this the BHO team would conduct themselves with more class .
They just don't get it!!

this kind of thing is so refreshing. especially after eight years of phony wars, banks foreclosing left and right, wall street greed, our jobs going to china, o.sa.ma not being captured, and gosh, what else? so much.....

So that's what the new Karl Rove looks like and behaves like. Looks like another long 8 years.

Check out the slide show. His hair color doesn't match. Take away that reddish middle strip and then think of how "hot" he is.

Normally I agree with most of the people here, but personally I´ve got a thing (as in crush from afar), for Rahm, so I see his enthusiasm as very sweet. :)

Good for him - how many of us want to do what he did - whether in fun - or in a serious manner - but refrain, because 'it's' not done' - or 'someone' will see - or some other dumb reason......sure it's not classy - but it is REAL!

Hmmm... Perhaps because people of substance have something they depend on for identity other than how things appear? Brilliant people are usually playful.

And what exactly is so "no class" about sharing some silliness with former colleagues, anyhow?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:47 AM on 01/22/2009

this was not exactly the time or the place for such "playful" behavior.
I know many brilliant people and they know how to conduct themselves in certain situations.

It's funny how one side is hoping he was directing this at Bush, Cheney and co., while the other automatically assumes that's exacly what he was doing. How about some reporting to help these people out, HuffPo? ;)

cqpolitics.com:

"When incoming White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, a former congressman from Illinois, arrived, he was razzed by his former colleagues. That prompted Emanuel, known for his colorful language, to put his thumb to his nose, waggle his fingers and stick his tongue out."

Goin' out on a limb here--my crystal ball says: Rahm Emmanuel, first man to run for President, and be of the Jewish faith. Look for it in 2016.

Actually, Lieberman ran in 2004. But yeah, I could totally see that.

Lieberman was VP candidate (scary to think about now). As for Rahm, my bets are he goes back to the House at some point.

"Ain't" it grand??? Real Americans doing the work of the people....wonder who was getting the "wave". We all have needed this kind of human reaction in our government for a long time. Such a wonderful feeling to see love and children in the White House after all these years.

This is going to be an exciting next 4 years; it is so good to see "real live" human beings in all of their elements. We are never too old " to act silly". It humbles and humanizes us. ROCK ON, RAHM!!!!!!!!! Good bye to the "old stuffed shirts".
