Michelle has great healthy hair and I love the way she wears it. I am sure some would rather see some Hair Magazine styles on her. Doubt it will happen. She is a classic beauty with style. Congrats to the stylist. I will be watching!

I happen to feel Michelle Obama's hairstylist is terrible.

Her hair is made out to be all stiff and straight behind. Not becoming at all!

M.O.'s a beautiful woman, but even Nefertiti herself would look silly with a flattened out helmet on her head.

Michelle, get somebody with imagination and taste!

how do you propose she wears her hair? and what does an Egyptian have to do with it?

Amazing how so many people opine on her outfits, but don't think Michelle had us in mind when she chose what she wanted to wear. Whether I like what she wears or not is of no consequence, because in America we wear what we like -- period!

Kudos to her from deviating from the norm - Amen

Her hair looked good she looked beautiful. I had
a wonderful day. They enjoyed each other, and that's
all that matters.

No, Obama said he doesn't want any "yes" people around. People need to be honest about that gown. It was horrible. This is new for Michelle but after a stylist is hired, she'll be the bom*b.

I think that is uncalled for. The dress may not have been to your taste but it was not horrible. That is the one thing that we black women have to get over.....too petty. She chose those outfits to support marginalised designers and she DID NOT look horrible in them. She has a beautiful and regal body. I think you could have said you did not necessarily like what she wore but to say it was horrible is just crass.

I think she looks great and could wear a potato sack and still be lovely. However, she does need practical advice. The train was not a good idea and keep getting in the way and she had to keep tugging, that was distracting. The clothes also didn't look that good on TV. To intricate fabric to be able to photograph well. I loved the lines for the daytime, but the fabric photographed poorly. She'll learn. Maybe her girlfriend Oprah can have a little talk with her. She is the master of looking good because she doesn't have much to start with but always looks wonderful when dressed.

In just one day our new FIRST LADY has made the dreams come true of 3 YOUNG Americans ........

2 fashion designers and 1 hairstylist.

It is great that Michelle chose to expose talent of young Americans over the "tried and famous".

I couldn't agree with you more. I think its awesome that she didn't go to Oscar De LaRenta, or Vera Wang, like everyone else knee-jerks to. The Obama's seem to truly be about new, fresh ideas.

What a way to walk the walk AND talk the talk Mrs. First Lady.

I saw nothing wrong with the gown --- Michelle strikes me as a woman that goes with what SHE LIKES. And no one else. More power to her!

Omega9111 I agree with you wholeheartedly. I applaud Michelle for not allowing others to dictate what she wears. She has her own style with her clothes and hair and she is doing Michelle. I think this is her message to the fashionistas of the world. Don't waste your time constantly critiquing every item I wear because I am not going to be defined by what I wear because I am so much more.

I also have to agree. It's not like we hae not seen her in power suits etc. She is now doing Michelle and she will continue staying true to herself. If she was someone that I wont name, she may have gone with a waist long weave. I love that she wears her own hair and wears whatever she is comfortable with.

The slew of designers and hairstylist are not doing Michelle justice. She needs to replace all of them. She is a beautiful woman who needs style of her own and it seems like this stylist and these designers whom was picked can't give it to her. Enough with the gaudy outfits.

And when she gets them, look out. She is one pretty woman.

Why, why, why? Who says that Mrs. Obama has to go with the "so-called crowd"....

I wear white when I'm not supposed too - I still wear torn blue jeans - gimme a break! It is not that serious...

Why didn't he pin her hair up with that gown last night then?

The problem wasn't so much the hair - it was that atrocious gown that she kept pulling at all night! We know who the designer was, but didn't she have enough (any?) good friends around who could've staged an intervention & prevented her from wearing that frock?!

I agree. That gown was horrible and did nothing for her. She is too pretty to not have designers who would accentuate her sleekness and beauty. But as many poster who think you can't have a differing of opinion, to them the dress was gorgeous...LOL...they are still drinking the koolaid

I agree with that. When she came out I was like WTH? Mr. Chu designed a chenille bedspread for Michelle.

A professional stylist is needed. Nothing against Michelle but I would also need a stylist if I were in her position.

The tugging was distracting. Had she been on the red carpet and just had to walk forward, a train would be fine, but not for dancing.
